Modding the game via code

I'm trying to mod the game (latest updates, logos, real name fix etc) on my Macbook.

Any techies, all the files sit in my downloads folder, do we think AI could vibe code something for me to copy and paste in the correct places if I told it to read the instructions blah blah? This should be a thing! heh

Any decision begins with a correctly posed question. What answer do you want to receive if you are unable to clearly formulate the question?

Do you want a script that will unpack the downloaded content into the correct locations? How will it know where your game data folder is located? Fine. Since you're clearly too incompetent to change it, let's just assume it's sitting in the default location. But how will it know which of the downloaded content is a skin, which is a logopack, and which is a facepack?

The only thing where this approach makes sense is applying a real name fix; scripts handle this perfectly, and personally, I've been doing it exclusively this way for about 5 years.
