Hey i like to ask is the data update for FM24 with “No Date Change” version will still get update? because for now its only give us the updated file where its 21 october which is almost 1 month ago

Hi, I'm having trouble updating FM 26 using a player as an example. He was previously listed as a coach, but a change was approved to make him a player. I launch the game, and he's not listed in the database at all, neither as a coach nor as a player. Do you know what could be causing this?

I know the post title says FM24, but it might be related. There's one Dastan Satpavey in the original FM26 file. After downloading our files, there are two. Screenshot below.

 

I hate to be ‘that guy’ complaining about a free update. But the last couple have been full of errors, multiple players added who were already in the game (Satpaev, Byfield, Subuloye to name a few), now this latest one has 100+ Japanese youngsters who are English for some reason. Then there's the random dude who clearly made himself a -85 at Llandudno, which I kind of respect lol.

Can you help us understand what the issue is with the Japanese/English issue so we can look into it? For the player at Llandudno, what is his name?

For repeating players, we are working through those. When trying to keep updates available for FM24 and FM26, anyone created via an update (unofficial like ours) for FM24, that is then officially part of FM26 has to have their new UID linked to their old profile, otherwise the new instance from FM26 and the created version from our FM24 update results in two profiles. It takes a while, but we are getting there. 

When downloading the data update, player transfers isn't in it. or am I being stupid lol? (every chance)

Why are all the owners not correct on the fm24 update. has ben knapper at norwich is now a director and no longer director of football and jim ratcliffe is no longer owner of man utd any ideas?

Just a couple of players I found who seem to be duplicates of players already in the FM database- this is for the FM24 update:

Nicholas Jonathan (2002044461- Abia Warriors) seems to be the same player as Nicholas Jonathan ( 2000249545- Simoiben)- Similar DOB and CM position.

Nikita Zavjalov (2002067559- Akron 2) is probably the same player Nikita Zavjalov (2000152758- FC Izhevsk) - Similar DOB and transfermarkt profile matches original players Football Manager playing history.

Hey, someone's constantly upgrading the skills of New Zealand's Wonderkid. He doesn't even have a Transfermarkt profile, and they keep adding skills to 85 and -85. I'll be obligated to not accept such changes.

For Zavjalov, he is an SI games hard coded player twice by the looks of things (as far as I can tell), and is not linked to this update, so we can't remove one, but worth flagging with SI to check if it is a mistake via their official forums.

Nicholas Jonathan (Simoiben) is not a new created player- He is in the default Football manager 24.3 database

Sorry for the translation. The nationality of the Japanese players in "New Player" is listed as English. Also, the players' birthdays are off by one day.

May I ask in which file in sortioutsi data update, are loaned players, because i downloaded it and there are no loans  included in my game in fm 24.  Transfers are working probably with contracts file, but there is no any loans.

Jhan Valencia 189217 → Has the old clubs but need to update the clubs in the past year
Jhan Carlos Valencia 417670 → Wrong age, missing the old clubs that he played but it is update the last year and the actual club

 

Any update regarding the board and chairmens all missing in the update for fm24 was going to start a new save, but noticed there all gone thanks.

I see my issues regarding Birmingham City's Chairman and random staff are common; is there going to be a fix? I never noticed any issues before Christmas.

Sorry if im being blind, is there anyway to submit staff changes to the update? Was looking for the new Hartlepool chairman to be updated, cheers!

You can submit changes to any existing person, in general, who is in the official database.

However, there is no method to create a new non-playing staff member. So if the new Hartlepool chairman doesn’t exist, they can’t be created and integrated via the site. I will try and find some time in the next week or so to create an extra file with all of the new non-playing staff I can who are based in England.

That would be great but I also realise that players are the priority, cheers!

have some weird glitch were all former directors and doctors have become coaches and  all the real coaches seem to be missing

Morning. Can you please provide a representative example or two? I know there are likely many; but it really helps me to replicate/investigate if there are specific ones that I can look up in the data.

I don’t mean to be rude, but there’s one thing I don’t understand about the FM24 update. Why do new (youth) players have to be made two years older than they actually are? Especially since there are mods where you can start playing from the 25/26 season.

I’m a bit on the spectrum so a save gets  immediately ruined if the players are +2 years older than their real age.

Is there a version with the new players and wonderkids but with the correct age?

It's a bit of a complex combination of factors, but I'll do my best to explain. Please bear with me and apologies if any of the explanation ends up being confusing.

As a fundamental position, the SortItOutSI Data Update for FM24 is designed around the game starting in Summer 2023 (i.e. the original game's standard, in-game start date). Whilst there are mods available that enable you to ‘fast forward’ the in-game date to (for example) Summer 2025, when you do that you make concessions about the league structure, promotions/relegations, etc - as there is no easy way to fast-forward to Summer 2025 and have the divisional constitution reflect what it is, in real-life, for 2025/26.

Due to this, the approach the Data Update takes is to accept that the in-game date will be Summer 2023 and it offsets everything about the footballing world by two years. So in-game in Summer 2023, the footballing world is in the state that it is in Summer 2025. This includes promotions/relegations, people's ages and contract lengths. For this reason, there's a fundamental concept of ‘ageing’ players by two years in place.

As you may be aware/will have noted, this ageing is achieved by a dedicated file for all of the players in the original database and can therefore be disabled. However, this cannot be achieved for newly-created players because you cannot ‘make a change’ to a person record in a data file if that person record doesn't exist in that data file. Therefore, we apply this ageing process by default - which is why there isn't a modular option to ‘disable’ the ageing process for newly-created players specifically.

The core, most popular and recommended way to make use of the SortItOutSI FM24 Data Update is to apply it in full and to accept the concession that the in-game date is going to be 2023 at the start. It's ultimately one of those concessions that need to be made as the game is now two years old. In simple terms, it is suggested to ‘pretend 2023 in-game is 2025’ and if you take that perspective, everything else is aligned in as realistic a way as possible. In our view (and I agree with this), this is a lesser concession than the concessions made to realism by using a future start date mod. But of course not everyone agrees.

With that in mind, we do also provide a ‘No Date Changes’ version of the update, albeit less maintained. It can be found here: https://sortitoutsi.net/football-manager-data-update/no-date-changes-data-update. It has not been updated for a little while, however, but you may find this provides you the experience you are looking for.

As mentioned, if you do intend to use ‘future start date’ mods the key thing to know is that there will be deviations from realism in terms of promotions/relegations/continental cup qualifications as the game will simulate some of those things.

Is there any plan to update the ‘No Date Changes’ version in the future?

There is - for full transparency, it used to get updated every day when the staff team had to manually process the files. However, recent improvements have automated the creation of the core update and, since then, the ‘No Date Changes’ version has not been updated as frequently.

It has always, mainly, been provided as an alternative primarily to tackle some awkward timing around when to establish the +1 or +2 year cycle. With it being the start of a new year, I know it is on the Site Admin's list to do…but there have been more fundamental challenges to tackle recently, so it remains on the to-do list. I can't commit a timeline, but there will be an update at some point soon I would expect.

I was already familiar with the reasoning behind the adjusted birth dates, and as you mentioned, some people, myself included, tend to prefer having the ages and years aligned with real life.

Thank you also for sharing the link to the  file. Does  it include any wonderkids/new players? And it seems that it has not been updated since October?
