Hi, please please please can someone help me??

I have literally spent hours and hours working through steps with ChatGPT, but I've come to the conclusion that it confidently gets things wrong.  I am trying to get the below packs on my game…

Faces

C:\Users\sigal\Documents\Sports Interactive\Football Manager 2026\graphics\faces\Cut-Out Player Faces Megapack - New Players for FM26 (inside here is the png and config files).

Kits

C:\Users\sigal\Documents\Sports Interactive\Football Manager 2026\graphics\kits\sortitoutsi SS Kits Megapack 2026.05 (inside here is the png and config files).

Logos

C:\Users\sigal\Documents\Sports Interactive\Football Manager 2026\graphics\logos\FMG Vapour Logos 2026.00 (inside here I have more sub folders; Clubs, Competitions, Confederations, Default, Media, Nations and 2x png files ‘FMG Vapour Logos 2026.00’ and ‘Football Manager Graphics’.

Player updates/fix

C:\Users\sigal\AppData\Local\Sports Interactive\Football Manager 26\editor data - in here, I see folders dbc (then in here folder ‘permanent’ and 4x DBC files), editor data (then in here folder ‘editor data’ and some FMF files and a config xml), edt (then in here folder ‘permanent’ and inc (then in here 3x LNC files).

This is driving me absolutely mental, so please - any help would be massively appreciated!

(1) If you've only got “New Player for FM26” for faces that is only a few thousand new wonderkids added by our data update, not all 300k+ faces. It looks like you did download the full cut out faces pack back on November 8th, is that working?

(2) Have you closed FM26 at least twice (i'm guessing yes).

(3) To confirm you have the right folder are your save games available at “C:\Users\sigal\Documents\Sports Interactive\Football Manager 2026\games\”

(4) The dbc, edit and inc folders should not be in “my documents” they should be in “Program Files (x86)\Steam\SteamApps\common\Football Manager 26\shared\data\database\db\2600”

(5) You said you have an “editor data” folder within your “editor data” folder e.g. “editor data/editor data” this is wrong, the contents of the “editor data” folder (i.e. fmf files) should be in “C:\Users\sigal\AppData\Local\Sports Interactive\Football Manager 26\editor data”

Why asked ChatGPT for help? I believe it never plays FM!

On the other hand, there are many real people offering tutorials for free… step by step:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7uPK-BW9HwE

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RQa7BI7jCGg

When nothing seems to work, do it from scratch:

Move every add-ons away (e.g. to another folder)… do it one at a time. But before that, read the instructions all over again and carefully (every add-on should have instructions), then make sure you follow every step.

(According to your “Player updates/fix”, you may want to visit the instructions again: https://sortitoutsi.net/content/74677/fm26-real-name-fix-placeholder-thread )

No reason to go mental… after all, just copy and paste files to the right places, nothing technical.

So, how do you get to the right folders?

Too dependent on AI, we seem to start ignoring the basics: Slow down, and read instructions carefully, do one step at a time… Those materials are produced by experienced FMers… and explain everything better than any AI.
