Newgen faces in FM24 save disappeared

I'm still playing FM24 coz I don't like the look of FM26, having used the Demo version. I like changing new gen faces myself, but suddenly yesterday all the new men faces I'd replaced disappeared and no matter what I do I cannot get them back. Any ideas?hints? tips?
