If you like to have in-depth club and international competition histories in your Football Manager save, then my Team Competition Histories file might just be for you.
This file gives every national team in FM24 complete histories from various tournaments. Using Wikipedia and RSSSF for reference, I have added data for all the qualifying and final stages of World Cups and continental championships, plus other in-game competitions such as the Confederations Cup. My update is designed to be as CORRECT, COMPLETE, and CONSISTENT as possible.
I have completely erased all national team histories from the database and inserted my own data for every country from Afghanistan to Zimbabwe. This means that my file will be compatible with the original and updated FM24 databases.
I have also added competition histories to clubs who have competed in various continental and intercontinental tournaments. TCH adds data for all the qualifying and final stages of every official UEFA club competition since 1955, and every official CONMEBOL and CONCACAF club competition since 1960.
I'm also pleased to announce that, for the first time, my file now includes data for various continental club competitions organised by the AFC, CAF, and the OFC - along with intercontinental competitions such as the FIFA Club World Cup. I have also added data for various youth and age-group competitions, including the Olympic Games and the UEFA Youth League.
All data is present and correct up to and including the 2022/2023 season.
I hope you enjoy using this file as much as I enjoyed creating it. I would also like to thank 'magicmastermind124' from the SI forums, without whose help the creations of my history databases would have taken much longer than they did.
BACKGROUND
I began working on this file in 2014, when I became appalled at the standard of national team history data in the original database. While the histories for some countries like England were fairly accurate, the histories for other countries like Spain were badly lacking, while many did not have any history data at all. For example, some nations that had previously qualified for World Cups were not shown as having done so. This update rectifies such errors and omissions.
I released my first version of ITCH (International Team Competition Histories) on the Steam Workshop for FM15. The first versions of my ETCH (European Team Competition Histories) and ATCH (Americas Team Competition Histories) were released for FM21.
ITCH, ETCH and ATCH got over 3,000 subscriptions between them on the Steam Workshop for FM24. Having now expanded into Africa, Asia and Oceania, I have decided to merge everything into one single file that covers international and club competitions at both senior and youth level.
QUESTIONS & ANSWERS
Q. How many changes have you made to the database?
A. Just over 300,000 changes have been made to the default FM24 database.
Q. I have started a new save game with your ITCH update and I cannot find continental competition histories for clubs in certain countries. Why?
A. When Football Manager creates a new save game, it will only load changes for clubs in the nation(s) that you have loaded. For example, if you load just the English leagues, FM will only load full continental histories for English clubs. It also means that you'll need to install custom leagues to see complete histories for clubs based in nations such as Cyprus and Lithuania, which don't have leagues in the original database. Unfortunately, there is nothing I can do about this.
Q. Will this be compatible with other files?
A. TCH is confirmed to be compatible with one another. I am also confident that it won't clash clash with any other files that DO NOT also edit national team or club history data.
Q. I've noticed a mistake or a discrepancy in your file. What should I do?
A. Feel free to leave a reply in this thread and let me know what's wrong. If I have made any errors, I will look to rectify them in time for the next release.

will this be compatible with your ITCH, ETCH & ATCH ?
FullerFM
No. This is essentially the same as those files, just updated with more data.
If you already have ITCH, ETCH and ATCH, I would advise you delete or unsubscribe from those files, otherwise you will get duplicated histories.

Thanks for this @FullerFM !
Are you interested in getting help on this or making it collaborative? I imagine alot of the info could be pulled in through scraping the websites you're using then generating the XML via code.
I could also look at making a form like we have for the data update transfers so other people can contribute to nations and leagues you don't have time for or less interest in.

I have combined his trophies with ou trophy pack for myself, with some work this would add a hell of a lot to the histories of teams.
As stated above the config needs work as naming is better than numbers for comps that are not in the original database.
Works very well combined with our trophies in my humble opinion.

It's possible some of cleaning could be done automatically through code. Would you mind PMing me your version so I can see exactly how you've done it (best not to share it publicly).

I haven't created any competitions in the editor - just used the default ones, and the IDs don't often change much as far as I'm aware.
But I do appreciate the tip. I was wondering if this “names instead of numbers” tip could work for clubs, and not just for competitions. It could be very useful for the extinct clubs that I've created in the editor, because their IDs will vary across databases and games.
FullerFM
Oh no, I haven't included any pre-season competitions - or indeed any competitions that aren't already in the database. The Amsterdam Tournament, Audi Cup, etc aren't in my files at all.

Will your file be compatible with Rob's History Update 2024 v4.00?
Ali Sheikh
do you have version 26.0 for this file please?
FullerFM
Apologies for the late reply.
I would love to release a new version of TCH for FM26 - one file covering all international and continental competitions in both men's and women's football.
Unfortunately, there is a huge problem with FM26. As far as I can tell, there is no way to view historic cup results for clubs or nations. I don't even know if the new game is still recording historic cup results in the same way.
Essentially, until this data becomes easily accessible again on FM26, there is basically no point in remaking TCH for FM26.
Frankly, given the direction the series seems to be going in, it's quite possible that TCH 24 could be the final version of this file. For me, historic data like this is very important to my sense of immersion in an FM save - but the UI/UX makes it very difficult to immerse myself into FM26. It really does feel like SI have lost sense of what their hardcore (or, dare I say, nerdier) players love most about FM, and that is seriously worrying.

Hi, Will this work with the Rob's History Update 2024 v4.00 or will some of the data clash?
Thanks
FullerFM
I believe they are compatible with each other, so you should be fine.
