Looking on the video preview image, do you want your newly generated players in FM26 to go from the image on the left… to the one on the right?
Here is the quickest way to update your Newgen player faces.
This method includes:
- 7,000 male faces
- 7,000 female faces
- No installer required (this is the lazy / fast install)
Download the Newgen Face Pack
Head to the NG Regen / NewGen Mega Pack with Custom Installer page.
Once you’re on the page:
- You’ll see that a mod is listed as required but we are ignoring that for this video.
- On the right-hand side, under Download, find: ui-newgen-portraits_assets_all.bundle
- Download this file.
Move the File
Windows:
- Copy the file from your Downloads folder
- Go to: C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Football Manager 2026\
- Open: data → streaming_assets → aa → standalone → windows64
- Paste the file here
- Replace the existing file when prompted
Mac:
- Paste the file into: Library → Application Support → Steam → steamapps → common → Football Manager 2026 → FM.app → Contents → Resources → data → streaming_assets → aa → standaloneOSX
- Replace the existing file when prompted
Enable Newgen Faces In-Game
Inside Football Manager:
- Go to Settings
- Open Preferences
- Select Advanced / Detailed – Audio & Visual
- Scroll down and enable:
☑️ Show pictures of players and staff who have been generated by the game
☑️ Use pre-generated images rather than dynamically generated images
Restart Everything (Important)
Before checking the result:
- Exit Football Manager
- Fully close Steam
- Restart Steam
- Reload Football Manager
- Date Created

are missing “FM.app → Contents → Resources → data → streaming_assets → aa → standalone → osx”

Just replace the file ui-newgen-portraits_assets_all.bundle inside standaloneOSX folder

Now I have put the fil in the right place and enabled the changes I preferences, but there are no player pictures just a square when you looking at the player profile. in the squad menu you see a white ring instead of a picture.
I tried whit a different download (much smaller) and it worked, but I want to use yours

yep, have tried 15 times to make it work, but the same result every time.
I have even reinstalled the game, didn't make a difference, like I said before it worked whit a different download, so it shouldn't be any problems

Thanks for the help so far, for your information the Newgens file that worked for me was Bassey boys, it has very nice layout (cut-out) but there are meny duplicates and the origin is way off for many of the players unfortunately, here's an example.
