This is the first tactic in which i've been able to beat real madrid on all occasions. Definitely one of the more fun tactics i've made and used as it represented something different. You could say it's something like luis enrique's 2016-2017 tactic, but better (sort of).

Let's look at the roles, what they do and why i chose them.

The goalkeeper as a BGK/SK: Because of the immensely high line it was practically settled that my goalkeeper would've needed to take more risks and with that roams from his box, and obviously he has to come out for the ball much more often because of that high line.

The centre-backs as BCB/CB/FB: I always like to play a risky game and with that with BCB's, because they can make passes that unsettle the opposition's midfield/defence. I first wanted to try this tactic out with a normal CB in the middle, but I found that it resulted in less goals, but it does mean he takes less risks and as such it would, i reckon, result in less goals conceded from potential mistakes. You'll also see that the right-BCB changes into a FB out of possession, that is because out of possession i wanted him to be the one to press more often whilst the other two defenders don't, plus I don't think that defensively playing with three defenders would be safe to do. That's also why you'll also see the left-midfielder turn into a FB out of possession which turns the defence into a 4 defender situation.

The defensive midfielder as a DLP/DM: I wanted a double pivot, much like Barcelona play with in real life. This makes Frenkie De Jong one piece of the equation. Out of possession a simple DM that presses more often.

The left Central midfielder as a MPM/DM: This is the second piece of the equation for the double pivot I wanted. I felt like the MPM is much like the DLP only more attacking that's why in possession he'll push more up and also roam, because i felt that Pedri would be best when he roams from his position. Out of possession he drops more down because he reverts to a simple DM like Frenkie, but he'll also still press more often.

The right Central midfielder as an AP/CM: I wanted one of my midfielders to be attacking, but not attacking in the sense of trying to find his own goal, but attacking in the sense of trying to create goal scoring opportunities for others. That's why i opted for an AP instead of an AM. Out of possession he'll press from a central midfielder position as opposed to an attacking midfielder position, because I felt that if he was pressing from a position that was to forward we would lose a lot of ground in the midfield.

The right midfielder as an IW/W: In my eyes the IW is the perfect role for Lamine yamal. He's better at creating chances then actually finishing chances, because i could've just as easily pushed him into a winger position and made him an IF but i reckon he would then be so focused on trying to get his own goal that he forget about the main goals which is to win, and considering this tactic needs width i told him to stay wider whilst in possession. Out of possession he's a simple W that presses more often, nothing more to it really.

The Left midfielder as a W/FB: Balde, just like in real life, like's to push forward and sort of cross from the byline that's why i opted for him to play in that Left midfielder position just so he pushes more forward, and in some way he'll probably be more open, because of the F9 of Raphinha attracting one of the people “guarding” Balde. And obviously like said earlier he'll turn into a FB out of possession, because I needed at least 4 defenders and I didn't want him pushing forward to much (whilst out of possession of course).

The left striker as a F9/W: I wanted one of the strikers to sort of attract one of the defenders with him so that Balde would have more room to cross the ball, and as such I felt like Raphinha was the perfect player for this role. He automatically roams from his position (just like he does in real life btw) which makes it easier for him to create chances for his teammates. He'll turn into a simple W out of possession, because i thought the left side would be far too exposed.

and finally the Right striker as a CFD/CFD: I feel like the CFD in this game is much like the Complete forward in fm24 in that he does everything all the other striker roles do. He also comes in a bit deeper, much like a DLF or a F9. He'll also move into the channels (if you tell him to move into the channels) like a CHF.

And like a poacher he'll sometimes play on the last line for when crosses, like the ones balde was making, come in from behind the defence to which Lewandowski in this case will be ready to bury into the net.

Great job once again.
I really love tactics like these that are a bit different from the usual ones. Keep up the great work — your tactics are truly fun to watch. I could especially imagine a Vincent Kompany tactic fitting your style very well.
Thank you.

Thank you very much, happy to hear it. And funnily enough right now i'm working on finding the balance with bayern munich and trying to get a tactic to work and publish.

is there any player roles ?

Every single player has tackle harder and press more often out of possession. except the centre backs, out of possession (so araujo and christensen in the first picture), they dont press more often.

all of these instructions are in possession so:

the centre backs: no extra instructions

the defensive midfielder: no extra instructions

the right winger/midfielder: stay wider, dribble more, take more risks

the right central midfielder: make more runs

the left central midfielder: dribble more, roam from position

the left winger/midfielder: stay wider, make more runs, cross from byline.

left striker: hold up ball

right striker: no extra instructions
