I have just checked the latest version of the free FM24 Data Update and it appears to be working again. As such, I think this was probably a transactional/one-off error that ocurred during the automated creation of the file yesterday.

For clarity: the free Data Update automatically recreates once per day. Therefore, my recommendation would be to simply download the latest free FM24 Data Update, rather than try to go back to an older version, at this stage. Apologies to anyone inconvenienced by this.

Is someone able to help me as struggling to install the FM24 paid data update. 

It looks like all of my files were in public, so have moved to where it was suggested, but when I boot up a new game nothing shows up to allow me to get the updated transfers/players/abilities etc.

Unless its cutoff in the screenshot it's meant to be “Library/Application Support/Sports Interactive” the screenshot seems to show “Library/Sports Interactive”

Hi, sorry not sure what happened there. Confirming this is the correct file path and still showing no data when starting the new game.

Please read the article you're commenting on where it says

Click “View” > “Show Path Bar” in Finder and the full path will now be shown at the bottom of every Finder window

It will make your troubleshooting much easier.

You are still in the wrong location.

BAD: /Library
GOOD: /Users/{yourname}/Library

The instructions tell you to use ~ which is a shortcut for /Users/{yourname}/

It is impossible to go wrong if you use the “Go to Folder” method, please just follow the instructions rather than trying to work around them and find it manually.

You need to use the latest FM24 database available in-game - which should be 24.3.0.

latest fm24 data update i cant choose turkish super league it says there should be 19 clubs but 18 clubs are found. what can i do to fix this

Can you please check that, in your Editor Data folder, you only have one file related to Turkey?

My suspicion is that you have an old version of the Turkey file from a much earlier version of the Data Update. It was renamed at some point to reflect the Türkiye spelling. If your game is trying to load both, they are likely clashing and this is causing the number of teams not to match the expected values.

The (free) version of the FM24 data update has drastically slowed down the game setup process. I haven't played for a few months but this was not present last time using these sortitoutsi update files. I can't isolate a particular culprit. I have all the files including the optional player histories avalable for selection but no other editor data (fmf) additions. This slow down is isolated to these additions specifically (it seems); the nation files ie: “sortitoutsi.net FM24 Data Update - Netherlands (League).fmf” etc. Not the new players, Europe, Europe history, remove bans/injuries, or aformentioned player histories (etc) files.
All I'm querying is if theres a reason there has been such a large change in how long it's taking to create the database? And also load to the game setup page (add leagues and change database size etc).

It is almost certainly the ‘Player History’ file that is causing this behaviour for you - as it does for all others.

It's not a bug - it is just a symptom/consequence of that file having a lot of database changes in it (over 3,000,000).

It is known to significantly slow down the game creation process, whilst all of these changes are processed. If you choose to enable this file, there is a requirement to tolerate the one-time slow game creation process. The good news is that, once the game is loaded, loading the save and the actual gameplay is no slower.

The alternative is to simply disable this file. However, you will then not have the updated player histories it introduces.

Brilliant, thanks. That's exactly the information I was after. The player history file wasn't present the last time I played FM24 and I must have just misinterpretated my couple of trial setups in thinking it was the nation files.

Hi! First of all, I apologize for my English, but I’m using a translator. I have a problem: I purchased the FM24 Update which was updated on 9.03.2026. After installing it and starting a new career, some transfers are correct but not all. For example, Woltemade is not in Newcastle, Rashford is in Aston Villa, and Fati is playing in Barcelona. Could someone help me and possibly explain what I might be doing wrong? Thank you in advance for your help!

The new update on the March 12 doesnt all the uptodate transfers and staff changes havent worked? Example tudor isnt tottenham manger, carrick isnt united manager? Not sure why this is happening but wondered if it is because when I download the file and tried this on different laptops to check and a phone all the transfer stuff is saying 2024 or updated contracts 2025? Also what is the extra as that seems not be helping either??

I am assuming you're referring to the FM24 Data Update (I notice on your profile you've downloaded both), as that has the latest update date of 12/03/2026.

I have just downloaded that latest version of the FM24 Data Update and tested a new game - I am able to replicate the issue. At this stage, I do not know the cause - but I'm investigating, effective immediately.

There is an issue with the (current) latest FM24 Data Update (specifically, version 5263 that was released on 12/03/2026). It appears there was some level of data-writing issue which has resulted in some more recent transfers/contractual changes not being written to the update file. The result of this, in-game, is that some transfers appear not to have taken place. High-profile player examples include Marc Guehi, Antoine Semenyo & Jorgen Strand Larsen. Managerial changes such as Thomas Frank/Igor Tudor and Ruben Amorim/Michael Carrick are also missing.

As this is a result of data missing in the available files, there is no error on the user's side and so there is a need to wait for this to be resolved through the next iteration of the update, by the site admin. In the meantime, however, for the latest, fully-working version please go to https://sortitoutsi.net/football-manager-data-update/releases and download V5262 for FM24.3. I have tested and verified that this works and contains all of the expected changes.

Apologies to all for the temporary inconvenience. I've notified the Site Admin of the situation.

Hi, I've downloaded the V5262 version and paste the editor data into the right path, but somehow there is not editor data file listed when i try to start a new career game. Seems like the editor file are not recoginized by the game,  can anyone help? 

Hi, I have just downloaded the basic pack but it seems to be missing files? I only have files like new players or England lower league, no transfers or anything. Why is this?

The new update is missing the FM26 data update file sortitoutsi.net - downloadable contracts

When starting new game FM 26 ….E 20 England and japan level are being flagged as not verified files .  By unticking them you can progress but no idea how that effects the save .  

edit Yea not working , Tudor still Tottenham manager .

When starting a new save with the FM24 Data update, I noticed that a lot of players are free agent, especially in Serie A Under 23 team (Atalanta, Milan)..players like Palestra, De Pieri, Spinacce, and so on they are off contract.

Moreover, Inter Under 23 team not exists anymore.

Could you please fix this?
