why is the skin colours unknown and ethnicity unknown for all edited players

This is due to the initial, mass creation of players (around 15,000) taking place before those variables were able to be specified on the site.

Likewise, even since those variables have been able to be specified, they are optional and so it depends on the person submitting them to fill them in. Naturally, for some players this information isn’t that available (although it can be estimated based on nationality, for example). But there is also an argument that it’s better not to guess at all, if the information can’t be ascertained definitively.

Overall, it is something that a few of us are working on as time allows - but I’m sure you can imagine going through 1000s of players and updating those details is time-consuming. It is being worked on all the time.

For what it’s worth - I do agree it’s an area of the data that would benefit from being improved; but there is just a reality to the effort required.

In the Esporte Clube Vitória team, there are two duplicate players: Francisco (ID 2000440224) and Rodrigo Dias (ID 2000440226). Emanoel and Diguinho, developed in the DB system, are the same player.

These two are in the official game not created by us, the only option is to retire a player to remove them. I've done that here: https://sortitoutsi.net/football-manager-data-update/person/2000085240#submission_1162781

Overall I have noticed a lot of duplicated players in Real Madrid as above - an haven't noticed any in other sampled teams, hence I suggest to check Real Madrid more closely as I might have missed something due to little differences in names as they don't sort alphabetically sometimes when they're created differently to the official update. e.g. Guille Ponce and Guille Lopez are duplicated but you can find ‘manually’ as they're listed differently, meaning: Ponce, Guille and Guille Ponce.

@Bueban these are all already done on March 18th.

Where exactly are you looking to discover these duplicates?

The UI of the site is a bit messy at the moment so totally understandable to get confused if I can understand where you think you're seeing these duplicates I can try and improve what information on the page to make it clear.

I meant I encountered those duplicates in game.

I download the most up to date FM26 Data Update and take 'sortitoutsi.net FM26 Data Update - New People.fmf' to ‘editor data’ folder.

Then I run Pre-Game Editor, load 26.2 database and then ‘sortitoutsi.net FM26 Data Update - New People.fmf’ and can find all the above duplicates when I review Real Madrid C team (Third team). They are also visible in game when I start new 

Simon Banza is still not in the game.

Just to confirm/acknowledge, for @eunsagn, @Bueban & others:

We think there is a bug that may be causing these duplicates to appear in-game. Many, if not all, of these players have previously been ‘matched’ and therefore shouldn't be duplicated and so the staff team will need to tackle the bug to rectify. It's on the site admin's radar and attention will be given to resolving the issue ASAP.

We will update this thread once we have progress/have resolved.

The other thing I notice, really odd, is one day difference in DOB.

Example: Leon Westin Bryhn: 10.01.2019 on data update on the website (https://sortitoutsi.net/football-manager-data-update/new-person/2100053708)

When downloaded and viewed in game or in pre-game editor it's 09.01.2019.

This is a bug we'd previously encountered - and tackled. I suspect it has been reintroduced following the recent data re-processing associated with the FM26.3 update.

Site Admin will get it tackled, no doubt - I'll flag to him.

We've had this problem before and I was sure it's fixed, I don't know why it would be occurring again.
