First time i've been able to complete a season completely unbeaten and this while scoring 179 goals and conceding only 43 in 58 games.
Now i'll tell you guys every single positions' purpose;
The goalkeeper as a GK/SK: With this role I found that I didn't need to be as daring as I usually am with my tactics. The only time I would change the GK role, in possession, to a BGK is when the opposition plays with a poacher. This way the goalkeeper will be ready for any balls that are given to the poacher. I did for example against Haaland when we played man city in the champions league.
The centre-backs as a BCB/CB: I'm not gonna lie I'll always use BCB's because I always want my centre-backs to play daring passes, that's the only reason.
The left full-back as an IFB/FB: I wanted to have an extra defender present when attacking just to be sure, that's why we didn't concede as much as we should have. That's why he'll also not have any problem out of possession considering his position isn't that far from the position he has in possession.
The right full-back as a PWB/FB: He'll sort of act as a DLP in possession becoming an extra midfielder, which is vital to this tactic considering we only have 2 real midfielders.
The right and left midfielders as IW/WMF: Both wingers will stay wider when they are in possession, they'll be the main playmakers out wide and have to send in crosses either from the byline or the inside of the pitch. Both wingers press more often but don't mark the Left and right backs respectively. (However if you see that the other team is playing with AWB or WB in a 5 at the back formation i suggest marking those positions, because they could cause an overload which your defence can not deal with).
The left central midfielder as a CM/CM: I needed a midfielder that would do an all rounded kind of performance during a game, with this I mean that they need an attacking as well as a defending output during a game whilst also taking more risks with their passing.
→ like a Vitinha, or a Pedri for example.
The right central midfielder as MPM/CM: I would next to the other midfielder need another one that connects defence with midfield and from midfield with offense. and what better role than the MPM to do that. He sort of plays a double pivot with Hakimi but not really considering Vitinha would still be in the mix. So maybe sort of a triple pivot.
The attacking midfielder as a SS/AM: basically a false nine that starts a bit deeper. He'll connect midfield with attack, or look to go into the channels to try and get a crossing opportunity or a goalscoring opportunity. Much like a false nine he'll also roam from his position, meaning the striker will at times drop a bit deeper.
The striker as a CFD/CFD: a basic strikers role with all the capabilities a striker generally needs, much like a complete forward in fm24. He'll drop a bit deeper when the game asks for it or run into spaces if need be. Whilst Dembele isn't your typical striker he still put in a valiant effort to try and show why he's become a ballon d'or winner.

every single player has, out of possession, press more often and tackle harder. the right back and the centre backs dont have press more often.
right back: stay wider, take more risks
centre backs: no extra instructions
left back: make fewer runs
right winger/midfielder: stay wider, cut inside with the ball, dribble more
right central midfielder: no extra instructions
left central midfielder: take more risks
left winger/midfielder: stay wider, cut inside with the ball, dribble more.
attacking midfielder: move into channels, roam from position
striker: dribble more → bare in mind has to be a player that can actually dribble so at least 15 or 16 in my opinion.
