FM24 Player and Staff Updates

Hi, the update is awesome but I don't like the new wonderkids being 2 years older. 

In this topic I read about a ‘’No data changes'' update, but I can't find the topic/file. Can anyone please share the link or provide me with tips to fix the age gap?

hey eythor.. i found out what to do lol that large optional file with the data history fixed it. now kenan is homegrown and i assume other players will be or close to it regardless of the +2 year add.

Not sure whether any of these have been re-instated in the data update yet?

@M.C Still can't see Vinai at Spurs and Daniel Levy (and the others mentioned) remain on the board, is there a reason these are broken?

Apologies, this is a very slow reply - and I know you've mentioned this a few times. I just wanted to circle back around and acknowledge - I'm looking at (and discussing internally) the best method to tackle this.

For your awareness, I believe the situation with Daniel Levy (and any others who are part of the same use-case) is that he has been removed from FM26. As he's not in the database at all, there was a point in time where the data-sets were consolidated to support both updates (which makes sense). Certain Data Update submissions/changes would've been purged as a result of this - for example, the approved change that would've removed Daniel Levy from Tottenham Hotspur in FM24. The result is that there are no changes being applied to his Person record in FM24…and so he's exactly where he would have been in the default FM24.3 database.

I am hoping we will find a systematic way to tackle this situation by re-importing certain purged data, however if this isn't possible, then I will create a manual, additional file whose sole purpose will be to apply changes to high-profile non-playing staff (like Daniel Levy) who only exist in FM24…however, doing it the manual way will be susceptible to the scope being limited to the top-level ‘big leagues’ as I can't check every staff record for every club…

Just as an aside: the exact job titles/roles cannot always be matched. Alas, for this, our options are the ones that FM24 provides us. Therefore, for example, I would not classify it as a mistake that Vinai Venkatesham is listed as the Managing Director and Matthew Collecott as a ‘Director’. This is the best-fit available.

That's brill thanks for the answer, assumed it was a tricky one. It's strange especially on Vinai as I can see he's has had the change made on the database but he just doesn't show up in FM24, I've tried to edit it myself in the Editor too and it's an odd one

As an aside, it's worth noting the Site Admin is actively working on reacting/preparing the data following the recent FM26 official update (FM26.2). There is a fair amount to do and we will look to tackle the issue with removed, non-playing staff after we have that all fundamentally in place.

As for Vinai Venkatesham, I am not sure you and I agree on the situation with him. For me, he appears in FM24 as Tottenham Hotspur's Managing Director. I can see the changes being successfully written into the Data Update file when I look in the Pre-Game Editor.

I am not using any files except for this website's FM24 Data Update. Have you definitively tried to start a new game with the FM24 Data Update only to verify the same?

Ah maybe one of my other files is now fiddling with him, appreciate you looking into it! Appreciate all the work you all do especially around update time! 

Not sure if this is the thread to raise the issue but the current UID's for new players on the FM26 new player pack are all wrong. Maybe you remade the data files after the new update and forgot to change the graphics config.xml?

This is known to be the case at the moment - it's a consequence of the recent FM26.2 official update. I believe we still need to re-process the New Player facepack to align to the new UIDs. It'll get taken care of soon enough - unfortunately, whenever SI release an official update that changes the starting UID for newly-created players, this activity needs to take place.

With this latest update adding many new players, including some who were in the newly-created players list, there is a bit more work around de-duplicating and so on, too. The team are on the case.

Perhaps I am misunderstanding, but Alvaro Fidalgo already has a nationality of Mexican so I don't think there is anything to change? In any case, the online submission form does not allow for certain things - such as changing Name, Nationality or Positions of players in the official database. It is only possible to change data related to their contractual situation.

If you are asking about us reflecting his international caps - this, too, is not something that we do. If we were to do this, it would be important to maintain updated international caps for all players (for consistency) and that would be a huge job on a continuous basis.

The file that ends in “New People.fmf”. That's where all the newly-created Person records are stored.

After the latest patch, player transfers are not working. My friend and I are playing a game, but every time we agree on terms with clubs, the players reject the transfer because they've recently transferred to that club or renewed their contracts. This happens without exception. We've tried around 100 players???

Hi, I'm doin a FM24 DOF save and I realized that some things with managers seem a little off. For example, Vincent Kompany prefers a 4-4-2 with Bayern Munich instead of the 4-2-3-1 that they play for years now. I would like to fix this for me, do I just have to edit this by loading the original 24.3 database?

Also I compared some coaching attributes and tendencies from the 24.3 original database and they're not the same with the data update. Can anyone tell me, which editor file is responsible for these changes?

To the best of my knowledge, the SortItOutSI Data Update isn't / shouldn't be altering abilities/tactical preferences associated with non-playing staff. At least, there is no method for the community to submit such changes.

I'm going to take a scan through the editor files to see where these changes could reside (if they indeed do). From my knowledge of our files, I can't think of an obvious candidate/place by-design where these changes would be held.

Whilst I do that, are you in a position to absolutely confirm that you're not pairing this site's Data Update with any other third-party/custom editor files?

I have a feeling it wasn't - likely got lost in the mire of other things.

For Daniel Skaarud, I have just pushed an update to his created instance which should mean he shows up in FM24 for those using the FM24 Data Update. May need to wait for the overnight update for those on the free plan.

For Paul Pogba, I think this one is a bit more nuanced because he existed in an earlier version of FM24 (but not 24.3). Site Admin may need to assist on how we tackle this specific case. I'll flag to him.

I'm sorry but I do not understand the question/request. Can you try and rephrase? As I am reading it, you seem to be suggesting we fix something but you don't really explain what is wrong.

The wrong is that in FM24 the league/players are only men. And there is one female player in the game

Ah, yes - of course. Sorry - I completely skipped over that when reading your first message.

I've had a quick look - this is a bit of an edge/unique case. This person is in the FM24 default database, but in a Non-Player role. As she is now represented in the FM26 database in a player role, our data update consolidates that status change and writes a change into the FM24 Data Update to make her a Player role.

I will need to flag to the Site Admin to see if there is a sensible way to address this. Even though it is just one Person (and could easily be ‘patched’ with a manual file), my preference would be to see if there's a way to stop the change being made to the FM24 Data Update files in the first place (to protect against any other similar cases).

Hope we still see a fix to see players like Enzo Molebe appear back in FM24 in a future data update (And probably others players which were removed in FM 24.3)

I have started new career in FM24, however I updated the datebase to the latest that was provided here at sortitoutsi.

I started as AC Milan and I do not have photos for both youth squads. I compared their IDs to FM2026 and they are different between versions 24 and 26. New facepacks have photos for 26 game.

Is there any way to have photos from latest facepacks for FM2024 with updated datebase? 

It is not the matter of specific 40 players, this means that every young player of any team goes without a photo. What to do? Is there anything that can help apart from manual remaining?

Does this mean that if you use updated database, you can not have images for young players?
