I need help creating the Grand Paris Cup in the Football Manager pre-game editor.
GRAND PARIS PROJECT
The Project's Ambition.
The "Île-de-France" region is one of the greatest talent pools in world football.
Yet the exodus of young players to foreign leagues (Premier League, Bundesliga, Eredivisie, etc.) happens on a massive scale even before they sign their first professional contract.
The Grand Paris Project is an unprecedented response designed to secure and retain this wealth of talent.
The concept?
Use the region's growing financial power to create a “super league” for youth development.
With:
- International and financial backing from Qatar through the flagship club Paris Saint-Germain.
- The arrival of major investors (the Arnault family and Red Bull) to strengthen and professionalize Paris FC.
- A recapitalization and stronger sporting project led by 777 Partners around Red Star FC.
- Technological and networking support through Xavier Niel serving US Créteil-Lusitanos.
- A performance and branding initiative supported by Pierre Gasly linked to the FC Versailles 78 project.
- Structural support from clubs already established in the national divisions: Paris 13 Atlético, FC Fleury 91, FC 93 Bobigny, etc.
- And the backing of historic talent pools and academies: US Villejuif, AS Bondy, FC Montfermeil, JA Drancy, INF Clairefontaine, etc.
Île-de-France no longer wants to train players for others, but to retain its own talents.
The Grand Paris Cup is the operational arm of this strategy:
A competition that guarantees clubs from Île-de-France exclusive scouting access to the region’s best talent pools.
The objective is clear:
To make Grand Paris the nerve center of world football.
---
GRAND PARIS CUP
The elite tournament integrated into the Grand Paris Project.
This annual competition brings together ≈136 clubs from Île-de-France.
Each club is represented by its first team, however only players aged 18 or younger are allowed to participate, regardless of their status (professional, prospect, amateur) or their usual squad category (U18, U20, reserve team, senior team, etc.).
It structures the Paris region’s talent pipeline through a three-stage pathway, allowing the best prospects from each club to compete in an elite environment dedicated to regional scouting, managed by territorial HUBs and supported by a network of strategic investors.
