This tactic was inspired by Kompany's bayern munich (sort of) and funnily enough someone commented on one of my previous posts that making a tactic like that of Kompany would suit my style (as I was testing something with Bayern Munich). Like the title says, this tactic served pure domination throughout the season scoring 190 goals, conceding only 41 goals in a total of 56 games.

Let's now look at every single role and what they do.

The Goalkeeper as a BGK/SK: This is literally Neuer's role, he made it the role that it is today. So it kinda felt like a no brainer for me, otherwise I would've gone for a normal GK/SK Just to be that little bit more conservative.

The Right Full-Back as a PWB/FB: I opted for Kimmich here more so, because I felt like he would be best in that position between all the players I had, but also because he was the best for the role I wanted to implement.

The Centre-Backs as BCB/CB: I wanted to play a daring game and what better then centre-backs that take more risks with their passing.

The Left Full-Back as a WB/FB: Alphonso Davies is the best option for this role in the entire game in my opinion. This because of his ability to dribble, cross and also his pace is just unreal. He would always be way forward just to overload the opposition's defence and essentially becoming an extra attacker.

The Right Defensive Midfielder as a BBM/DM: This is actually the first time I've used the BBM in this game, because i never really found a way to use it in any of the tactic I've made. But for this tactic it was perfect. Considering the fact that Kimmich came in to essentially become a DLP, i wanted one of my midfielders to push more forward and also look for their own goal, which mean running into spaces to overload the defence. I could've made him a playmaker, but with al the players on this team i didn't feel the need to do so. You'll see that Laimer didn't really score or assisted that many goals, but because he runs in open spaces he leaves spaces wide open for other players to come in and finish the job, like Olise or Musiala.

The Left Defensive Midfielder as a DLP/DM: I wanted a Double pivot in this tactic just to hold control over the midfield, and this was also the perfect role for Pavlovic so basically was a no brainer.

→ He would become a double pivot with Kimmich.

The Right Winger as an IF/W: It said in game that the IF was Olise's best role (I thought it would've been an IW considering al the assists he's giving in real life) so with that I opted for that role. I thought that with this role he would be too focused on trying to score, but he actually got a lot of assists, whilst also scoring a fair amount of goals during the season.

The Attacking Midfielder as a FR/AM: Perfect for Musiala, but considering he wasn't available for 5 to 6 months at the beginning of the season I opted for olise to play that role with Gnabry as a Right winger at the time. Very essential to this tactic as he gets the freedom to create chances and also to connect the double pivot midfielders with the attackers. This role was perfect for Musiala and he did very well when he eventually came back from injury.

The Left Winger as a IW/W: With this role at the beginning of the season I wasn't really sure it would work longterm, but i was pleasantly surprised when I saw the growth he had during the season. I reckon he would've been better as an IF, but i never really tested it because I didn't see the need to change any of the roles in the tactic considering we were doing really well.

Now finally the Striker as a P/CFD: This is, like the BBM, the first time I've ever used the Poacher role and boy did it do a good job. He scored a huge amount of goals, whilst also giving a fair amount of assists. Wanted to use Kane as a poacher, and whilst he doesn't play as a poacher in real life I felt that this was the best approach to the tactic and here's why:

  1. He's already very good for this specific role. He was I think 4 or 4,5 stars
  2. Considering i've got this wing back that pushes forward more often, if that wing back gets behind the defenders the only thing he needs to do is be there and score a tap-in.
  3. A lot of the assists that Olise got was from crosses/passes into the box to Kane, because he plays in line with the oppositions defenders.
  4. Now there's obviously a downside to this role which is that if the striker decides to run to early he'll get caught offside which did happen very often, unfortunately.

Even Nicolas Jackson scored a very good amount of goals from the bench or as a starter. This isn't even one of his better roles.

by the way for the champions league final the game decided to stiff me and injure both left-wingers (gnabry and luis diaz, which resulted in me being stuck with karl for the final. Also Jonathan Tah got injured so any aerial threat from corners was also eliminated, but we were still victorious. i also forgot to change goalkeepers for the final, but because of how good this tactic was my backup in urbig still put in a good performance.

Possession wise we kept around 60% possession in all competitions so also a very good possession based tactic.

That's a glitch in the game itself if you look at the the last two pictures you'll see i didn't lose any games towards the end of the season. I added the full picture so you could compare the two

Thank you for your tactics.
They are quite exotic, and every single one has worked for me so far.
My favorite is the 3-1-4-2.
Please keep uploading tactics here — you’re a real asset right now!
A possession-based tactic like Xabi Alonso’s 2024 system would be amazing.
Or a really strong tactic featuring a target man up front who scores frequently.

Thanks!

Do you have anything that shows what specific player instructions you had in place?

Every single player from right back to Striker has tackle harder and press more often out of possession, except the centre-backs ast they don't press more often.

goalkeeper: no extra instructions

right-back: take more risks

centre-backs: no extra instructions.

left back: stay wider and cross from the byline

right defensive midfielder: take more risks and make more runs.

left defensive midfielder: no extra instructions

right winger: stay wider, dribble more, take more risks

attacking midfielder: roam from position

left winger: sit narrower and dribble more

striker: no extra instructions

I'll try my best but honestly they don't have a very good team to compete against psg.

Think this is the best I could do, had some crazy games like an emphatic 7-0 win over PSG. 150 goals scored, 59 goals conceded. an average of 61% possession in 55 games played. had like 3 important players out for more than 4 months so automatically made it harder with rotation so decided to bring in marcos alonso in january as i didn't have any money to make any signings at the beginning of the season. hope this helps.

thank you so much youre a god!!! Its kinda bad for me to ask but would you be able to try to recreate the OL tactics from their domination in 2000s with them winning the league 8 times in a row. Thanks a lot once more
