Hey everyone!
The last few days we have been testing a new camera plugin on Patreon and with some initial crashes now being resolved I am feeling confident enough to release the Free Camera plugin now. This will be a small download package and is installed the same way the Stadium Mod is! Press F5 to activate it.
Updated to v1.1 for stability.
Installation:
To install it simply drag and drop the contents of the extracted Free Camera V1.1 folder in here, similarly to my Stadium Megapack:
- Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Football Manager 26
- XboxGames\Football Manager 26\Content
- Program Files (x86)\Epic Games\FootballManager26
Furthermore, when you install the files, make sure you place all subfolders into those directories above. That is two folders and 4 loose files.
If you do not do that it will not load. After which you will see a BepInEx window come up, that is fine and good! Do not click exit on it.
The first boot after an update to FM or running for the first time will take a long time.
IT HAS NOT FROZEN, IT IS LOADING. DO NOT INTERRUPT IT!
Should you get an anti tamper message do this:
- Remove the files from the directory when FM is closed.
- Boot the game, play a match, close FM.
- Reinstall the files whilst FM is closed.
- Then you will be able to play.

Do I delete the “match-assets_assets_all.bundle” file and then with the “match-assets_assets_all.bundle.backup" file change back to “match-assets_assets_all.bundle”?

Thank you so much for the time and work you've put into these mods. For me personally, mods like this have transformed the game, I really can't understand why SI aren't putting things like this in their match engine, it really feel like it unlocks its full potential. I know some people use the camera mod to view the game from the touchline, which is really cool, but I like going up high in the stands, the view is great at it makes the graphics look so much better. Shows the game in a completely different light.
Some early feedback, I know someone has mentioned it above but player names appear all over the screen for me and no longer above the correct players head which can make it difficult to see what player is on the ball. It seems they are about 5cm to the right of where they should be but that's probably a poor guess. The only other worthy note is the speed in which the camera moves when you hold right click. I'm constantly needing to move the camera to follow the ball and the movement is very sensitive meaning I often miss the action trying to track the ball. Either a follow the ball mode or the option to slow down the speed of the camera movement would make this perfection.
Again, I love the work you do so once more, thank you so much.
Edit: I've just realised, the players names don't move with the camera movement, when you move the camera, the names stay in the same place as they were which is why they appear out of place.

Hi, great work I have a small problem the spectators disappear with the free camera mod.
I I already use the stadium3d mods and the fmkitconverter3dcrowds, which worked very well before adding the free camera mod

This mod has a conflict with the camera of the previous version that you created for us, as I understand it they are not compatible! is there any possibility of fixing this? and the second question is how to remove this camera, if I still want to use an earlier version of the camera?

so when you installed the Camera Mod by Exius you should have created a reserve copy of match-assets_assets_all.bundle file. You need to manually delete the match-assets_assets_all.bundle file you installed from the exius download in your folders and then reintroduce the original file that you created a reserve copy of match-assets_assets_all.bundle file. Then download and follow the instructions for @BassyBoyYT Camera plug in and all should be okay. It worked for me.

Yes, I already did that. I always keep backups of those files. In fact, after the latest FM update, Exius’ mod stopped working, so I had to restore the original file and remove that mod.
After that, I installed the (now legend) BassyBoy free camera. It does work and I can move the camera, but I’m having two issues: first, the HUD/scoreboard disappears when I use the camera, and second, the crowd also disappears.
I’m not sure if this is something on my end, or if it’s just a matter of waiting for another update of the mod to fix these issues.

Apologies but that’s where my skills end haha I am no expert and I haven’t found issues like that but I wouldn’t know how to fix it if I had that issue. Maybe tried uninstall and reinstall everything again?
