This guide explains where to place the World Cup Squads update file for Football Manager 26.3.2. The update should be used when you choose the Final Squads starting date so the tournament squads load correctly at the beginning of your save:

Before you start

  • Make sure you have your game updated to 26.3.2
  • Close Football Manager 26 before copying or replacing any database files.
  • Back up the original preload folder before making changes.
  •  Make sure your game database is version 2620, because the paths below point to the 2620 database folder.
  • After copying the file, start a new save and choose the Final Squads start date.

Where to place the update file:

  • Windows:
    Program Files (x86)\Steam\SteamApps\common\Football Manager 26\shared\data\database\db\2620\2620_fm\dbc\preload
  • Mac:
    /Users/Mac/Library/Application Support/Steam/steamapps/common/Football Manager 26/fm.app/Contents/PlugIns/game_plugin.bundle/Contents/Resources/shared/data/database/db/2620/2620_fm/dbc/preload

Step-by-step installation:

  • Download our custom fifa_wc26_squads.dbc file. Keep the file name exactly as it is.
  • Open the preload folder for your operating system. Use the Windows or Mac path listed above.
  • Paste the update file into the preload folder. When prompted to replace the existing file, confirm it (make sure you saved a backup)
  • Launch Football Manager 26. Start a new save after the file has been added.
  • Choose the Final Squads starting date. This is the start-date option this update is designed for.
  • Check the squads in-game. Review the World Cup national teams to confirm the update loaded as expected.

Could you correct the inclusion of Fernández Pardo in the Spanish squad, replacing him with Pedro Porro? Because of this error, Belgium appears with one less player on their list.

You probably have other file conflicting:

Fernandéz-Pardo its part of Belgium squad and Porro of Spain squad

I understand you don't have any name fixes installed. That seems to be the problem.
