FM26 Moneyball Scout is a free, browser-based scouting and decision tool for Football Manager 2026 — built on the Moneyball principle: maximum value per euro spent.
Import your squad CSV and instantly know: who to sign, why, at what price, and what the risk is. No login. No installation. Everything runs locally in your browser.

⚙ HOW IT WORKS

Export your player list from FM26 as a CSV using the built-in view export function → drop it into the tool → done. No plugin needed. Takes about 10 seconds.

🔥 FEATURES

⚡ MONEYBALL SCORE — a 0–100 score built from Performance (50%), Cost Efficiency (30%), Age Profile (12%) and Risk (8%), weighted per position group rather than one-size-fits-all. Every metric behind the number is visible with its weight and raw value — no black box.
💎 HIDDEN GEM — players with high performance and high cost efficiency, whose market value the market hasn't caught up to yet.
🔥 IMMEDIATE IMPACT — who can walk into your first team today, no settling-in period.
👑 RESALE KING — U23 players with a high score, estimated resale potential.
🚫 OVERPRICED — who to avoid, and exactly why.
📊 SCOUT VERDICT — BUY / WATCH / HOLD / AVOID, backed by the actual metrics behind it.
🔍 DEAL ANALYSIS — the case for the signing and the case against it, side by side. Plus the single biggest risk, a best-case and worst-case scenario, and a model-derived bid range.
💸 BUDGET & TRANSFER EFFICIENCY — Fair Value, Recommended Fee, Never Above, Break-Even, Resale Potential, estimated ROI, all in one panel.
🔄 SIMILAR PLAYERS — comparison chips showing where they're better or worse ("2 yrs younger", "7 pts worse cost-eff.", etc.)
📋 SCOUT REPORTS — full standalone report for any selected player, including a performance radar against the group average.
🛡 IMPORT AUDIT — after every import, tells you honestly what it couldn't figure out: unrecognized roles, unknown leagues (with player counts, exportable), uncertain matches. No silent guessing.
🌐 BILINGUAL — full DE / EN support, switch language in Settings.

Test CSV file attached below — download this, not the tool itself.
This is a sample player export (5 players, FM26-style columns) so you can try Moneyball Scout without exporting your own save first. Download the attached CSV, then go to moneyball-scout.pages.dev and import it via the upload button. No login, no install — runs entirely in your browser.

Recommended: use the hosted link instead of downloading the HTML file. This makes it much easier to keep the app up to date and lets you install it as a desktop app with just a few clicks.

How to install it as a desktop app in Google Chrome

1. Open the app using the link above in Google Chrome.
2. Click the three-dot menu in the top-right corner.
3. Select Cast, save and share → Install page as app... (or Install App, depending on your Chrome version).
4. Confirm by clicking Install.

The app then opens in its own window, can be pinned to the taskbar or Start menu, and behaves like a native desktop application while always using the latest version from the hosted website.

Hi mate,

The CSV import is currently working on my end and I've tested it successfully with multiple exports, including larger datasets.

A few things to check:

  • Make sure you're exporting using the provided view file.
  • Export directly from the Player Search screen.
  • Save the export as a standard CSV file (UTF-8 if possible).
  • Try opening the CSV and verify that player rows are actually present below the header row.

Could you upload a screenshot of the CSV import screen and, if possible, a sample of the CSV file you're trying to import?

If the tool shows "0 players loaded", there may be an issue with the export format or column structure, so seeing the file would help me track it down.

Thanks.

Hi mate,

Yes, please export the FM26 view as a standard CSV file.   with https://www.fmscout.com/a-fm26-player-csv-export.html

The tool currently supports both comma and semicolon separated CSV files, but if you have the option, try a standard comma-separated CSV first.

If the error still appears, could you upload:
- a screenshot of the error message
- and a small sample CSV (5–10 players)

Then I can check whether the issue is caused by the export format or the file structure.

Thanks.

Hi, If I export in English language in Fm it doesn't work; if I export in German, for games with women's teams, you have to change Spielerin to Spieler and it seems to work, but it exports all goalkeepers and detects them as Zentrales Midfielder and all the scores come out as 0,plus the UI not change to English language the most parts is in german

Thanks for the report. I'm currently looking into this and have identified some import/mapping issues that may be affecting certain export formats and women's databases.

A fix is being worked on. Thanks for bringing it to my attention.
