Czech Premier League championship format: how does it work?

1. Regular season (30 rounds)

16 teams play according to the classic two-round system (home and away).

After 30 rounds, all points are saved, and the league is divided into three groups.

2. Final stage (Split system)

Championship group (1–6 places): play for the title and tickets to the European competitions in one round (+5 rounds).

Middle group (7–12 places): play in a playoff format. The winner gets a chance to compete for a ticket to the Conference League (via a playoff match) or a cash prize.

Survival group (13th–16th place): The four outsiders in one round determine who will leave the elite.

3. Relegation and play-offs

❌ 16th place — relegated directly.

🔄 14th and 15th places — play two-match play-offs (home/away) against the 2nd and 3rd teams from the lower division for the right to stay in the league.
