Elite Sports Holdings: A New Era in Global Football

Today marks the official launch of Elite Sports Holdings, a new football ownership group built on one ambition: to become the world’s leading multi-club organisation.

We are entering football with a long-term vision, not a short-term project. Our objective is to build a network of six elite football clubs, each capable of competing for domestic championships and continental honours in their own right.

Unlike many multi-club groups, Elite Sports Holdings will not operate with a single “parent club.” Every club within our organisation will be treated as an equal. Every supporter deserves to dream of league titles, cup triumphs and European success, and every club will have the resources and ambition to pursue those dreams.

Our philosophy is built around sustainable excellence. We will invest heavily in world-class stadiums, elite training facilities, cutting-edge academies and exceptional people. Knowledge, innovation and expertise will flow freely throughout the group, creating an environment where every club can develop and thrive while maintaining its own identity and history.

Success will never be measured solely by financial returns. It will be measured by trophies lifted, players developed, communities inspired and legacies created.

Across Elite Sports Holdings, our clubs will embrace an attacking, proactive style of football built around courage, intensity and possession. Our preferred formation will be a 4-2-3-1, supported by a flexible 4-1-2-3 system when required.

We want supporters to recognise an ESH team immediately—aggressive without the ball, confident in possession and fearless in pursuit of victory.

While this shared philosophy provides consistency across the group, we also recognise that football constantly evolves. Our coaches will always have the freedom to adapt and innovate whenever the game demands it.

Our journey begins in London.

Following five disappointing years under BlueCo ownership, Chelsea Football Club has become the flagship club of Elite Sports Holdings after being acquired as part of a landmark takeover.

With one of the strongest financial positions in European football and elite infrastructure already in place, Chelsea provides the perfect foundation for our long-term vision.

Good afternoon, everyone, and welcome to our first Elite Sports Holdings Conference.

Six months ago, we launched this project with one clear objective—to build one of the world's leading multi-club football organisations. While our journey has only just begun, the foundations are already being laid both on and off the pitch.

Today's conference will provide a transparent review of each club within the group, assessing recruitment, performances, finances and progress against the objectives we set at the beginning of the season. We'll also outline our priorities heading into the second half of the campaign.

Entering the summer, we identified two priority positions that needed strengthening if Chelsea were to return to competing amongst England's elite—a centre forward capable of leading the line for years to come and a goalkeeper who could eventually become one of Europe's best.

Our headline arrival was Santiago Castro, joining for £71 million. While he has yet to establish himself as the undisputed first-choice striker, we remain extremely confident in his long-term potential. Adapting to the Premier League takes time, and we believe patience will be rewarded.

We also secured one of Europe's most exciting young goalkeepers in Dennis Seimen for £26 million. Rather than rushing his development, we felt regular first-team football would accelerate his progress, making Strasbourg the ideal destination for his first season within the Elite Sports Holdings family.

Although this window was expensive, we believe every signing has been made with the club's long-term future in mind rather than short-term fixes.

After significant investment, balancing the squad and finances became equally important.

The most notable departure saw Pedro Neto join Manchester United for £48 million. Pedro served Chelsea well, but with exciting young wide players already at the club, we felt this represented the right footballing and financial decision.

Several additional departures have also helped reduce squad congestion while creating opportunities for younger players to develop.

Competition Review

Premier League — 6/10

Chelsea currently occupy 6th place, only three points behind the Champions League places with a game in hand.

This is broadly where we expected to be after such significant changes throughout the club. The attacking football has been exciting, but greater defensive consistency will be vital if we are to secure a Top Four finish.

The objective remains unchanged.

Champions League qualification is non-negotiable.

UEFA Europa League — 8/10

Our European campaign has been extremely encouraging.

Chelsea remain unbeaten during the league phase and have already guaranteed progression into the knockout rounds.

Given the quality within the squad, we firmly believe reaching at least the Semi Finals should be achievable. While domestic football remains the priority, our squad has the depth required to compete on multiple fronts.

Carabao Cup — 5/10

A disappointing early exit after a 2-1 defeat to Manchester United in the Fourth Round.

Although this competition was never among our highest priorities this season, Elite Sports Holdings expects every team to compete to win every trophy available.

FA Cup — N/A

Our FA Cup journey begins shortly.

The expectation is clear—reach at least the Semi Finals and establish a winning mentality in domestic cup competitions.

Mid Season Review

6.9/10

The first six months have represented exactly what we anticipated—a period of transition.

New ownership, a new Head Coach and major squad restructuring naturally require time before consistent success follows.

Didier Deschamps has laid strong foundations, the dressing room has embraced our philosophy and the club remains well positioned to achieve its primary objective of Champions League qualification.

There is still considerable room for improvement, but we remain fully behind the direction Chelsea is heading.

Rather than making expensive permanent additions, Strasbourg has become the perfect example of how a modern multi-club model can benefit everyone involved.

Three Chelsea players arrived on loan, strengthening key areas without placing unnecessary pressure on the club's finances.

Valentín Barco has quickly become one of Ligue 1's standout midfielders, dictating play from deep and adding quality in possession.

Equally impressive has been Dennis Seimen, whose loan spell has exceeded every expectation. Recording 10 clean sheets in 18 matches, he has established himself as arguably the league's best goalkeeper this season while continuing his development.

This has been a hugely successful transfer window built on intelligent planning rather than excessive spending.

Strasbourg sit 2nd in Ligue 1, just two points behind PSG while holding a remarkable nine-point advantage over third place.

This has exceeded every expectation we set before the season began.

Champions League qualification is now a genuine possibility, and with the league's best defence already established, Strasbourg have every reason to believe they can maintain this momentum.

The competition is only just beginning, with Toulouse FC awaiting in the next round.

Based on current form, progression should be expected.

Our objective is to reach at least the Quarter Finals and continue building a winning mentality across every competition.

Few clubs across Europe have impressed us more than Strasbourg.

Thiago Motta has built a confident, disciplined and fearless side that has exceeded every expectation.

To be competing with PSG at the halfway stage while possessing Ligue 1's strongest defence is a tremendous achievement and a credit to everyone involved.

The challenge now is maintaining these standards over the second half of the season.

Six months into our journey, we couldn't be more encouraged by the progress already being made.

Chelsea is steadily rebuilding after a significant period of transition, while Strasbourg has emerged as one of the biggest surprise stories in European football. More importantly, both clubs are embracing the footballing identity we set out to create.

Our shared philosophy, collaborative recruitment model and commitment to long-term development are already producing encouraging signs. There is still an enormous amount of work ahead, but the foundations of Elite Sports Holdings are firmly in place.

This project has never been about overnight success.

It is about building a football organisation capable of competing at the very highest level for decades to come.
