Not sure if this is the place to put it, but it does involve potentially updating data.

Unfortunately, the game can only start in Feb 2013 at the latest (South Korea).

Is it possible to somehow push this to September 2013 while have updated competition credentials? For example, Man U as BPL Champions of 2012/13, Chelsea as Europa league champions of 2013, and so forth.

Is any of this possible at all?

If not, is it possible to just randomly assign team names, logos, and club histories to make this is some sort of fantasy game?

You could create some editor data for an obscure country like Papua New Guinea and have the season set to start in July 2013, just run this as a view only league alongside whatever update data your using.

Thats interesting rick, how would you go about doing that?

In the editor create new nation rules for a country, I would use some football no hopers like Samoa or Aruba, make sure their season start date is in June or July 2013 and ends in May 2014. Your required to have one league competition in the country before you can save so you may need to create on and fill it with amateur clubs.
Once you've saved, load up FM and ensure your new file is selected along with the data update you wish to use and then ensue you set your game to start in that country (you can run it as view only).

Sucks.... every time I click 2014, it reverts to 2013.

So the work around that Rick described doesn't work then?

Ah, SI must have put a stop to it, it definitely used to work on older versions of FM.

I can see why they put a stop to it, because it'd mean nobody would have to buy the next FM, unless they want new features.
