He's a pretty poor manager I think. Did well at Burnley admittedly but has been found out since, talks a good game but can't deliver. Hopefully we're not the next Lancashire club he turns up at.

Bang on. The idea that he would continue Martinez's work/philosophy was (and is) ridiculous.

Sean O'Driscoll sacked from Bristol City last week. A shame, he had started to turn things around. Steve Cotterill rumoured to be coming in. Kill me now.

Why is Steve Cotterill so hated? he seems to have a pretty decent track record.

Stange how about four years ago, Coyle was seen as an excellent manager who played football the 'right way' and now is seen as being kick and rush.

The right way to play football has changed recently.

Mass amount of possession is the way now apparently

Blackpool have had five dismissed this week, and eight this season. Add to that a manager who got himself a five-match stadium ban, and you have a one club discipline problem.

Sounds like my Newcastle team on FM10.

I swear they've come close to even more than that 8 as well.

Certainly have. Did you see the game they played against Wigan a few weeks back? McKenzie (one of the five from this week) stamped on McLean when the Wigan lad was on the ground and somehow McLean got sent off. They could also have managed the rare feat of having two sent off in the same passage of play against us. The ref played a great advantage after a horrible McKenzie foul and Scannell went on to be fouled in the box, earning their lad who conceded the penalty a second yellow. McKenzie escaped with a yellow.

Par for the course with Ince, though. Had a glance at the Football League records for his MK Dons team from 09/10 - 629 fouls, 128 (ONE HUNDRED AND TWENTY-EIGHT!) yellow cards, and 8 reds. Bearing in mind the average is about 70 yellows and 4 reds in a season, either MK got some very over-zealous refs or the finger has to be pointed at the manager.

"Former Premiership footballer DJ Campbell is among six people being questioned in connection with allegations of fixing in football matches, his club have confirmed.

"Mr Campbell, who plays for Championship side Blackburn, was one of six people arrested on Sunday."

It sounds like he needs to rethink some of his tactical approaches. At the rate they're going they will have probably set a new red card record by February.

Sam Sodje in bother as well - big bother, going on the Sun's footage and the sending off.

Sadly, with the boom in gambling, this was fairly inevitable. Although the big bookies won't be directly involved, they've unwittingly helped to foster an environment where the unscrupulous can take advantage of the hundreds of markets available. There needs to be an FA clampdown on bookies and their markets for the good of the game, in my view.

DJ Campbell haha, deary me. We haven't been in the news for a positive reason since about 2010. The main positive is that we'll be able to cancel his contract if it's true.

Very recent allegation as well - he apparently fixed a booking in Blackburn's game at Ipswich a week ago.

yeah was from a booking in the 1st half against Ipswich last week unfortunately I haven't seen it has anyone else ? Most noteworthy thing he has done in a rovers shirt. Surprised he even started against Ipswich to be honest.

Really pleased for him! I'm glad we got rid of him when we did, but he'll always be held in high regard for what he achieved last season.

Big weekend for us, Yeovil at home. Win and it looks like Mellon will get the job, draw/lose and who knows..

Ah you know, I'm just pleased that one of the dullest periods supporting this club is hopefully over now and we can start playing football again. Securing L2 status is the target atm and hopefully Flickers does well and we can have a go next season.

Football isn't fair. Reading were awful, but nicked a goal. Had we won 6-1 Adkins would have had no cause for complaint - we were absolutely excellent. But it just wouldn't go in. Keeper played a blinder, we hit the post, we were denied by the linesman's flag, we missed half a dozen sitters... Frustration compounded by Joel Lynch's late red card. No complaints about the first one for persistent fouling (other than that Pogbrebnyak didn't get one as well - those two battered each other all afternoon), but the second one was really, really soft and was his first foul after the booking. Ref lost all control of the game halfway through the first half and just didn't know what he was doing - undoubtedly the worst I've seen this season. He was weak-willed and let Reading referee the game.

He didn't influence the scoreline, and it's our own poor finishing that cost us, but he did set the tone when he let that Russian lump up front get away with a blatant dive in the very first play of the game (Reading kick-off, played back, lumped up to lump, lump falls over, free-kick to Reading). Likewise he didn't book Drenthe for a blatant penalty area dive. Somehow he let one of their stay on after a dreadful revenge tackle on Hammill just before half-time, and then let Drenthe drape an arm around his shoulders for the entire walk off at half time. In stoppage time he made mistake after mistake - we had a clear corner when theirs nodded it out at the back post under pressure, but he gave a goal kick; Holmes got flattened by three and he gave nothing; the Lynch second yellow - and stopped us getting any head of steam built up because of those mistakes.

And as for Adkins' comments - it's hard to score four or five when you only have one shot and otherwise get outclassed. It was a classic smash and grab away performance which rode its luck.

Good win for rovers yesterday again wasn't the best performance but a good 3-2 win Rhodes scored a quality goal shrugging off a defender and smashing into the corner. I think we deserved the win in the end but they nearly grabbed an equalizer in added time but Eastwood made a class save although Morrison should have scored !
