Gutting really just ran out of steam, due to not having enough players, suspensions, injuries and some bizarre results against weaker teams, happy to qualify for Europe again though, hopefully get some more players in the summer. Just a pain trying to keep player from the big teams, Scotland seems to have Rangers, Celtic, Raith and others offering massive money around. Gutted about Derby as in the league I beat them 6-0 and 2-1, yet oddly in the Europa League couldn't do anything against them in 180 minutes.

1st of Jan, started off blistering in the league, then my best player Stewart got injured, my goalkeeper then out and a few others. Not bothered about going out the League Cup and through in Europe, would like to win that again.

End of season, honestly gutted I didn't win the league, should of won it, few silly results against the weaker teams, even more gutting about not winning the league is not coming top four, couldn't care about FA Cup, getting annoying in the league we're far out performing out where we should be coming considering our budgets but the board will only keep offering me one year deals but I'm performing miracles getting some great young players in for minimal fees and turning them into superstars, don't understand what more I can do for the board unless I'm given funds that match the top six, as currently I'm relying on free transfers and scouting to remain in the top half, may have to consider selling a few star players thought just to get some funds but I'm well under my wage budget and the club is fine finance wise.

Europa League was 3-1 down against Tottenham 1st leg then smashed them second leg. Played the final with basically my whole team knackered from the amount of fixtures we've played.

I don't know why but in FM there is always one player you get an affinity towards and Acuna is that man, brought in for a snip as a teenager, came off the bench to turn the game get an assist and winning goal, he very rarely starts, never moans, comes off the bench always scoring and settings up goals, in Europa League got 14 goals in six starts, five sub appearances.

Lost Guevara due to work permit but he was a useful player could player either side as a full back, my backup keeper Bergstrom wanted to go, gutted to let Eron go but he doesn't fit in my system and the money was too good to turn down. Cano I've used less and less last few years, he's 30 with a year left on his contract so 5 mil is decent.

Shocking season, full of tons of injuries to key players, suspensions, just annoying the board thought we under achieved, that's about where we should come in the league and may of gone further in Europa League if we didn't face the eventually winners till later

Summer Business - Wasn't happy losing Garcia as he has been my first choice center back for years but wanted high wages and isn't getting any younger, delighted to get so much for Grbic and Kyoo as they barely ever played and Kyoo is basically 30, brought a few in for cheap, mainly youngsters.



Signings

Not a great season, feel my golden generation are starting to come to their end a bit, first half the season we were dreadful, sitting in the bottom five with relegation form, second half we kicked into gear a bit, some very random results at times beating and dominating top teams then losing odd games. In the cups lost to Sheff Utd who finished runners up and in the Fa Cup lost to Chelsea in the semi who went on to win in the final, so respectable efforts till we faced top teams.Might look to cash in on some of my better but older players in the summer

Brought in no one but a kid in January who is one of the future, let a few big players go, Kemp had done his time and had been a great servant but time to move forward, losing Acuna on a free was gutting. Renan on paper should of been class, he had scored goals everywhere, joined us and got seven goals in six years, went on to bang twenty this season at Madrid, bizarre. Cabonora was a squad player and the money was too good to turn down, sent a lot of players on loan as the board won't give me a feeder team to send loan players to which is doing my head in.

What a season! Didn't improve the first team all season in the transfer market but seemed to perform brilliantly. To beat two of our local rivals in cup finals was superb, then to add in finishing in the top four of the league with the best away record was beyond hopes, considering our small squad with a few players getting on like Stewart, Hoyos, Caro, all put the clocks back and turned it on. When Ricetti was being a pain with his contract I dropped him for Flavell and it was the best decision all season as the England youngster came in and scored and setup plenty of goals, delighted, just need to keep it up next season. I think the club made a profit of over £100m this season, finally got the board to offer me more than a one year deal as well. The other player who has came on leaps and bounds if Fratto who is now one of the worlds best.

Through to the Champions League group stages now, time for the big boys, big worried about my squad depth with so many games, board expect me to come top four again, which is very optimistic

Not happy to see Ricetti go but he wanted silly money, Rodriguez is a bit of squad depth with potential and Luciano my scouts have been raving about for ages and on a free I thought I would take a punt, I would of liked to get another decent center mid in but nobody caught my eye and Boris can slot in there if really need be.
