After Sevilla's success in the EL I decided that I will use a former players as
the manager, to try and get him back as their manager. I am starting at Sevilla Atletico.
My goals:
Achieve promotion with Sevilla Atletico
Get the Sevilla Job
Win La Liga with Sevilla
Win Champions League with Sevilla
chokosc
I let my assistant take control of the friendlies and it didn't really pay off. Terrible start to my career here but I believe that it will be okay!
I brought in this 22 year old for free:
The only other business in the transfer window was Curro leaving for 3.8 million to go to Manchester City.

A really good start to the league. We are sitting in 5th after this month and it is all good! Hopefully this for can carry on!
In other news:
First chance to become manager of Sevilla is denied. They are failing in the league and are in last place. Hopefully the new manager fails as well and I might have a better chance next time!
chokosc
Two decent months for us. Actually, two really good months which saw us only dropping 10. We are still very competitive in the league which is great.
Which leads to this:
I never thought it would happen this soon. Happy with this because it means that I am doing a good job. Sadly Sevilla are starting to get better results which will definitely make things harder for me to get the job!

Got a bit carried away with the save and this is what I am up to! The results haven't been too good but I guess they are good enough. We have achieved a lot more than we were expected so I am not too worried.
I have been linked with a lot of jobs. The biggest of them being Marseille. I didn't show any interest because I want to at least finish the season with Sevilla Atletico. Not sure if this is the best way to get the Sevilla job but if I can somehow manage to get promoted through play-offs I believe it will get me higher up the picking order!
chokosc
So, an amazing achievement for us! For me, it is probably the worst thing that could have happened. I barely have my own budget to use on players, maybe only two players will be capable of playing at this level and I am scared of being battered every game. On the other hand, I believe this is an amazing step forward for me as a manager and for the clubs, both Sevilla and Atletico Sevilla. Maybe next year I could get the big job?
chokosc
Played the games again. I guess it is better to do it this way but it really doesn't matter. Hopefully I can get to the beginning of the new season soon!

I let my assistant take control of the friendlies again and the results were much better. Hopefully this form will stay with us during the season!
I brought in these guys. Martinez cost 600k but it wasn't me that signed him:
One other player left us on a free.

Again, I played a bit more than I wanted for this update but I guess it doesn't really matter! Results are great. The players have proved that they are good enough for this league. Took me a while to understand why the playoff spot is running away from us every time we get into a playoff position. Really happy with how things are working and I hope it stays this way!
The only downside to this is the fact that Sevilla are doing fairly well in Liga BBVA. Means that the chances of their manager getting sacked are very low! Still being linked with Marseille, after their manager was sacked but I do not want to leave yet!

Got a bit carried away yet again. The results aren't good and aren't bad. Can't say that I am not satisfied!
Eighth is really good for us I guess! We can't really do much else than stay in the league and keep a high profile. Our starting keeper and our captain were both moved to Sevilla due to their very impressive start to the season, which did cause us to drop in form a little bit.
All that didn't deter two very big teams from interviewing me!
I also had one with Lazio but I decided to decline their offer. Hopefully one of them offer me the job. I think I want to go to Italy because I didn't really have a chance to manage there yet and Roma are a great team! More to follow in the next update!
chokosc
So I jumped on the job. Good chance to make a better name for myself! They were sitting in 7th when I took over.
Was annoying to lose that last game but I guess it doesn't really matter.Great start to my Roma career. Hopefully next season can lead us to great things!
The board wanted Europa League and I delivered. We didn't have a realistic chance of making it to the CL so I am very pleased!
I have signed three players that will join us at the beginning of the season:
Gael Kakuta - Free transfer. Always liked him and I wanted to use him on FM for quite a while. Will strengthen our winger position as we have Baston and Gervinho, both failing to make a major impact
Eugeni - Played under me at Sevilla Atletico. Was one of the better players in the team! Only £1M so I believe that he can help us a bit as a rotation player.
Cristiano Biraghi - Looks a good LB, £2.4M so again, not too expensive. Only 22 so I can see him staying here for a while!
chokosc
So, Juve won the CL and due to us coming in fourth, we were next in the picking order! Right in to the Playoff round. I believe!

Johno - I guess it was obvious that I'd jump on the chance! Thanks!
Assistant is to blame for these bad results. I think what we have learnt from the past two seasons is that it doesn't really matter what results we get in preseason so I barely give it any importance.
We were very busy in the transfer window this season, something which couldn't have happened at Sevilla Atletico.

No big names coming in. Most of these players I have never even heard of and got them due to my scout reports. Good profit made this window. I brought in two young Italian goalkeepers, Leali and Cragno, because this was one of the weakest areas in the team. I bought both for £1.5M just for my HoYD to go and buy Meret for £1.7M, without even asking me to finalise it!
Strootman wasn't really needed, and despite having great stats, he was injured for the majority of last season. So selling him for a huge sum of £25M seemed stupid to refuse! Marco Borriello left us due to his £100k / pw contract expiring. Why the hell was he in the reserves with such a high wage?!
chokosc
Great results against Club Brugge, a decent result against Cittadella but a mesmerising lose to Sampdoria. Have no idea what happened there!
Doesn't mean much at this point!
We were drawn in this CL group:
Can we get through? Hell yes! With a bit of hard work I can really see us doing something!
In transfer news, my HoYD decided to go out and buy another player without asking me, decent buy though as he is a RB and I needed one!
Joey de Graff from Feyenoord for only £700k, surely he will take over Maicon some time soon!

Started this run badly, losing to Inter and making me cry myself to bed thinking we were going to sink! All that just for us to go on an amazing run! 14 game unbeaten streak in all competitions, and then we got smashed by Arsenal. Hopefully we can keep this form for a long time!
One major thing I had noticed is how bad our defence is. We conceded way too many goals and it is something that I will take care of in January!
So we are sitting top with a 4 point lead. Good for now I guess. Still not played Napoli so I am hoping to get at least a point before we start the second round of games!
Anything can happen in this crazy group! Last game is against Zenit, hoping for a good old 0-0 draw to secure us going through!
I didn't stop spending after the transfer window closed. I was offered Humam Tariq by his agent and I decided that he could be a great addition to the squad. Signing him cost us £8.25M which is a lot but I have a good feeling about him! Another player is Fahad Al-Shehri, a regen CM that looks good for the £350k we paid for him.
Fahad Al-Shehri -

Decent results I guess, should have done better in some! Defence still looking shaky.
Still have a chance in the leage, so I am really happy with that!
Not too many transfers but I am happy with what we did do!

Brought in two young CBs that looked nice. Mercuri, again, is a pick of the HoYD.

Good results, apart from that stupid loss to Fiorentina. That game against PSG was great and we have a 2 away goal advantage!
So we still have a chance but with only five games left I think Juventus won't lose two games, and even if they do, their GD is much better than ours.
Dan

We dropped 10 points in the league in the last 7 games, which is very disappointing! Mayve next year we can do better and concede less goals!
It is quite surprising that we finished 2nd. We dropped to many points to the lesser teams in the league, but I am going to try and shape up a good defence for the next season!
In transfer news, I have already started to look for a strong CB. Two players that I have on my list are Monteleone (had him in my Basel save and he was a beast) and Munoz of Palermo who looks like a great CB.
chokosc
Good preseason. Didn't think that I could beat Barcelona so I don't really care.
Not too busy in transfers

Pjanic out for £20M was a great deal. Was a good player but not good enough for me to turn down that offer! Munoz is my guy at the back! Going to get a lot of playing time and hopefully he will deliver! Vander is a Brazilian regen who I brought in to replace Pjanic and he is looking good!
Only played one game (beat Nigeria 5-1) before getting this offer:
Very happy with this! Hopefully I will win the 2018 WC
