Northern Ireland could do with winning against the Faroes, they've got a great chance of qualifying but would still be best to avoid any slip ups.

Should be 2-0. Ciaran Clark hit the bar with a header.

We just need that second goal to kill it off and hopefully that'll come nice and early in the second half.

As bad as they are, they could still quite conceivably make the play offs and therefore have a chance to qualify.

In the previous qualifying system they'd be dead and buried by now.

We can't beat Azerbaijan at home but a top side like Croatia on the other hand... finished them off 2-0 in Oslo tonight!

Both goals from the former Cardiff and Celtic reject, Jo Inge Berget, who's really enjoying himself at the moment - played a key role in Malmö's CL qualifying win over Celtic too. Made Dario Srna look like a school boy defender tonight.

We still have to beat Italy away to secure a top two spot though, which I don't think is very likely.

Not a shock, it's just incredible how quickly they've fallen.

They look a bit of the international equivalent of Spurs. From a distance they look good, but when you state at them up close you wonder where the good players are.

The Sneijder/Robben/RVP generation is coming to an end and there's just nothing coming through (they're not the only major country with that problem though), which is a shame as Holland have had some amazing teams in the past. Their France 98 team would be the best national team in the world today, quite comfortably too.

Scotland v Germany was quite a good game, albeit with some laughably terrible defending for the first 4 goals. Think it may also have been the first qualifier I've bothered to watch more than half an hour of.

That goal from Kyle Lafferty looks a fucking massive goal.

That's kinda true, but even so, you'd think they'd manage more than one point from games with Iceland and Turkey.

Maybe it is just a thing that they have phases of having a good run to tournaments, then fail to even reach one - good at the 1998 WC, then failed to even reach 2002's one.

I'm so pleased Kyle Lafferty bagged that late, late equaliser as it would've been an injustice if we had lost that game - it's Greece next up at home iirc without Conor McLaughlin, Chris Baird and Kyle Lafferty who are all suspended ffs, it's going to be tough but one more win will send us to France.

Please don't fuck it up.

We were fucking dreadful against Georgia tonight for large parts of the game.

In the end some Messiesque magic from Jeff Hendrick led to Jon Walters tapping home.

Germany done the job in Glasgow and now we just need Poland to do the same and we're guaranteed a playoff place and that'll be massive considering how the group looked before Friday night.
