Terry's been shit for England for a long time. His last-ditch tackles might look impressive, but that's only because he pushes way too far forward for international fixtures.

"Last season Fabio Capello didn't come to watch Newcastle even when we had the best defensive record up to Christmas," Taylor explained.

"The gaffer, Alan Pardew, saw Capello at an event and told him: 'You should come and see Taylor.' Capello said: 'I'm all right for midfielders'.

England Team to play tonight according to "Sky Sources"

Hart, Walker, Smalling, Lescott, Baines, Oxlade-Chamberlain, Lampard, Cleverley, Young, Rooney, Defoe.

Little bit disappointed that Taylor isn't playing and Lescott is although it does give a bit more balance.

That is indeed the team.

Not that it matters against this lot but Cleverley over Carrick is hilarious.

I feel bad that from time to time the rest of the world have to be exposed to Adrian Chiles' attempts to be funny.

I was gonna post about it after the game.

They're normally bad, but they were awful today. Chiles was being a bastard in the studio but it was whoever the co-commencunter is that was the really culprit

Didn't hear any of the commentary or coverage today but some comments from the game at Wembley stick in my mind - slating San Marino for 'showing a lack of ambition' was the main one, Jesus wept. Get a grip.

Looking forward to the Montenegro game though on Tuesday, should be a decent.

I just can't imagine that the ITV bosses aren't aware of how badly received their coverage is, with Chiles in particular coming in for criticism pretty much every time he hosts a game. Lineker can get away with trying to be funny because he's an England legend and, more importantly, he doesn't give off the impression that he's trying too hard whenever he cracks a joke or tries to be funny. Do ITV even give a shit, as long as people keep watching?

The standard of punditry and presenting in this country is appalling. For every Gary Neville you have about five Garth Crooks - so many of them give off the impression that they really believe they deserve the 'experts' tag their respective institutions so generously assign them, when really they're offering opinions that the average fan expresses down the pub. From time to time I'd actually like to see some interesting and unique commentary on what's happening on games and to actually learn something from these ex-players, as opposed to the regurgitated shit the vast majority of them spout.

I don't give a shit, can see what's happening myself and don't need someone to tell me.

Thought this while I was watching, was harsh and uncalled for really. I understand that San Marino playing all the top European teams is a bit silly, but its the highlight of their players careers playing against the top players. Its not their fault how the qualifying is set out.

Everyone should complain to Ofcom about it and maybe it would get some of the "pundits" and "commentators" off the tv.

Adrian Chiles is just like the idiot you find down the pub who goes on about football, offering his opinions, thinking he's some kind of expert, but just talks crap. He reduces everything to basic analogies, and is just insufferable. Gary Lineker's more professional than Chiles, and he wasn't originally a journalist, whereas this is Chiles' career.

I do find that ITV try and be a bit more populist, like presenting a Euro 2012 game from an al fresco restaurant in Warsaw near their studio, what was the point of that?

It must be boring being the other two goalkeepers called up to an England squad behind Joe Hart.

San Marino FA at it again.

Despite the result tonight I still expect England to win the group.

Roy Hodgeson had no plan b, even though he had the players on the bench who could of made a difference.

Just saw on Sky Sports news that England made something like 325 passes last night. Spain had over 900, Germany over 800 I think. Actually, Northern Ireland passed the ball more than England last night along with some other Home Nation (Scotland maybe) has-tag embarrassing !!

What does it mean that Spain had more passes than England then?
Passing means winning?
I think Spain also had about 900 passes in their game against finland and they drew as did England against Montenegro.

Sorry, I forgot they are still reeling after their top scorer retired from football to become a suicide bomber for Al Qaeda.

His legs may have gone but he still could have lent a hand to the team.
