We're playing the same way again and again and hoping we get a result. Surely he must see this way of playing isn't working, we're going to fall away from the top four at this rate. Our defence is thankfully great this season.

The tactics are fine, we actually created an awful lot today, but the final bit of quality is not there. Be it Darmian's inability to cross, Lingard's hit and miss end product, Fellaini missing from two yards out, Martial being quadruple marked because he's the only decent attacker we've got, Mata's complete loss of form since the start of the season. We consistently get into good positions and either make the wrong decision or fuck it up.

We don't have a good enough forward line, everyone knows it lacks quality. We were complaining about it in the Summer Transfer window, and Van Gaal's failure has been to go into the season with this. I doubt we'll be able to get anyone decent in January, but we need better players.

You can presume I'd rather that did not transpire. Don't really have faith in a defence that features Coloccini, or a midfield with Sissoko out wide and an Anita-Colback axis, or an attack dropping Perez (although he was anonymous v Leicester and Palace).

So frustrating to watch us play down the wings and only have 1 man in the box when the cross comes in, so many crosses to the near post and no one making a move to get near them
