If you walk in and promise long ball, set piece orientated, high-profile signing football and then end up delivering passing, youth development football with 5 foot 3 midgets then you just put yourself under unnecessary pressure from the board.

Obviously I would have enjoyed a larger scoreline, and possibly our finishing wasn't up to par. Most of my players looked complacent which was annoying; so although this was a win, it was very unimpressive I must say, which is dangerous considering the Euros coming up in the summer!

6 wins in a row to start the season....
Four 1 nil victories to start against FC Dallas, Portland, Sporting KC, and L.A. and I believe we deserved to win them all. Unfortunate not to have notched up more, but hey, 12 points from 4 games!
An amazing victory against Canadian rivals Vancouver. We were down 2-3 at the half and I gave them the business....and boy did they respond. Insanity! It's all coming together!
Quality away victory in Colorado in a match that we dominated, but left it to the last 20 minutes for us to start putting our chances away.

Continued our amazing form into April with a 4-1 away victory over NYCFC. Crushed them and we are flying.
Finally bested our bogey team New England with a 5-2 home destruction. They scored their goals in the 85th and 89th minute so in reality this was nearly a 5-0! It feels great to finally take them down!
Ahhh
We followed up that reality check with another frustrating draw against our rivals Toronto. We absolutely dominated them and deserved at least 4 goals, hitting the woodwork twice. Their equalizer was a 90th minute penalty just to make this game the most frustrating thing ever.
Back to winning ways away in Philadelphia in a match where again, we could/should have scored more but 3 points from an away match is great!
Me and Chicago again fighting for the East, but this year the East is destroying the West!

Major League Soccer
Started out May with a solid 2-1 home victory against Columbus. We dominated and deserved to win by more. Their goal was a penalty in the dying minutes.
Followed up that quality victory with a shocking loss at home to D.C. United. Again, we always seem to dominate in every category and seem to dominate the game, but can't seem to put the ball in the back of the net some days.
A second consecutive loss came away in California against San Jose. Even game, due to our injury problems and they ended up taking the 3 points.
Finished out the month with a draw against Eastern rivals Chicago. It was definitely a game that we managed a point by the skin of our teeth. We had an first half red card with an already depleted side and somehow held on for a point.
We are still looking good despite the numerous hiccups this month.
You all know from my Sammarinese save that I have a soft spot for The Miners, so I definitely attended.

The real reason I signed Ziani...Piatti forced my hand in the Winter foreign transfer window and I had to cash in.
I had an awesome save in FM07 with them so this would be near my heart.
No Russian adventure just yet.
