Transfer embargo/Future signing help

I was wondering if someone would be able to help me out.

I started a game as Rangers and, as I can only sign players within the very first transfer window before a years embargo kicks in, I have agreed to sign a Norwegian keeper when his contract expires (31/12/12).

Will I be able to use him as the contract and deal was agreed before the embargo is in place? Or - because he actually joins the club during the embargo - am I going to have to loan him back out for 6 months as I'll be unable to field him.

Just hope I've not wasted wages on him!
