Is it just me or have the transfer values/demands rocketed, and the contract expectations too?

Struggling to sign anybody for a decent fee on my Brighton save. I attempted to sign Martin Cranie on a free transfer from Barnsley, but he wanted £15,000 (three times his current salary). He didn't have a particularly good season, and nobody else was interested in him. I was also searching through players and the majority of decent players in League One are valued at over £1M. Really?

On the plus side, Stoke came in with £4.4M bid (all upfront/no installments) for Kazenga Lua-Lua, who hardly played for me last season and his stats are pretty average.

I would have to agree with you there buddy! I've been playing pretty much non stop since i got the game and gotten to season 13 now, but from day one, anyone that i had in my team when it came to wanting a new contract with a year or two left on their existing contract, wanted wages in excess of 200k per week. I'm playing as Chelsea, and i like to keep an order of the wages and earning money etc. You could say i'm a shrewd spender and try to buy british where possible. But they all want ridiculous wages to stay and play for the club. Yet, when i sell them, they drop down to more realistic wage demands or go for less than i was originally paying them.

Even some new signings do that too, want huge wages just to join cause i'm a big club that's winning a few things.

Transfer fees are pretty decent as i also get them when i sell big players, but the wage demands are irritating.

I too have noticed this. Jose Enrique, Suarez etc all want in excess of 100k per week, even Agger wanted 94k and he barely played for me. Lucas wanted 115k so I gave it to him because well he's Lucas, he then accepts PSG offer. I thought at first they would have given him something stupid but no they gave him 94k per week. He still chose them despite me offering 21k more and my team being league and European champions.
