Online Match Connection - Hamachi?

Alright guys,

Its been maybe 3 or 4 years since my last online game with my mates and we are looking to start up again. 'Back in those days' we all downloaded Hamachi, connected on that, then join in FM. Although this wasn't 100% necessary, it made for piece of mind.

I gave the server name and password and my I.P.address to my mate yesterday and he had no joy. So is something like Hamachi still required? I don't think I am missing anything huge.

Any help would be sweet.

And by the by, have the servers been reset or something? Ive been a member on here since I was like 3 years old and I only have a few posts? My arse.

Not sure about the connection, but the sit was upgraded a few months ago which reset everyones comments so that would be why you, and the majority others have only a few

No you don't need Hamachi, It runs through Steam.

So do we need to connect and be 'friends' on Steam and shit then yeah?

I don't think you have to be friends, You just have to give them the server name and password.
