I remember that one of the developer video blogs mentioned sending your team on a pre-season training camp. As manager of Rangers, I've never been presented with that option so I thought that it had been scrapped before released. But I took a job as manager of Tottenham and I do have the option there for a training camp - it had already been arranged for me. So, how can I set up a training camp myself?

All I've ever had is being given the option to do it or not, it's odd as I'm not really sure of the use. I've had Newcastle in a training camp in the US, yet they're playing frendlies at home througout? Surely they should be able to have a foreign venue of have it as some sort of tour?

This needs more work imo. As for Rangers I think it was probably a more financial issue

Only the board can arrange training camps.

Is there a trick to get them to do that? There doesn't seem to be the option to ask for it in a board meeting during pre-season.

That's interesting. At first I thought it might be hard-coded in the game - i.e. if the club starts the game doing training camps, then they'll keep opn doing it and that's the only way of getting them. But this casts new light on the situation.

After being promoted to the SPL with Rangers, the board gave me a choice of Scotland or England for a training camp, quite restrictive but as mentioned above, probably more down to finances.

I had the problem of friendlies at home whilst I was doing a training camp in Italy.

Must have racked up a fortune on flights
