So, this challenge consists of top league teams around the world having all of their players released on a free transfer (using the editor of course).

The wage budget is set the same for all the clubs (eg. £1.5 million for every club). Make sure that the "add players to playable teams" option is unticked so you will have no regens at all the clubs. Basically, you will have every "world class player" available on a free. So with clubs like Aston Villa, Moenchengladbach, Deportivo and Saint Etienne, you can sign the likes of Messi, Ronaldo, Xavi, Rooney and Casillas all for a grand total of £0. However the wage budget should be set to no more than £2 million for every club so there are no unrealistic wages.

So it is your duty as manager of a club (your favourite club is ideal) to bring them the best players around to guide them to world domination.

Indeed this is absurd and fun at the start. Every club will try to sign every player. It will be a war to sign the best team you like.

A couple of questions. Firstly, what has been done with regards club reputation? Will this remain realistic, for example, Messi, Ronaldo etc. will only join the top clubs or would you have a good chance of signing these players with say Villa or Swansea or even a lower league club? Secondly, I have done these free transfer database games in the past and have found that a lot of other clubs don't seem to sign enough players to make a decent sized squad, or don't compete for the top players. This has previously made these games extremely simple as it easy to bring in all the top players. Definitely a good, fun idea though and am considering giving this a go.
