I am using the latest editor data that should have Lewis Holtby listed as a free agent but when I search the game I can't find him as an existing player (even at a club to sign). Does anyone know how I can find him in- game? Do I need to add leagues to help find free agents? I already have Bundesliga 1 - 2.

I am trying to move him to my current Blackburn career game.

I know but he doesn't exist in my game when I search his name so I can't sign him. He should have been in the game as a free agent before joining Blackburn so I'm wondering if anyone can help me find him in my current saved game.

It looks like my version is 19.3.6. If you can help with the issue then it would be great if you told me what information you need to help.

I've started a new career and have Lewis Holtby there as a free agent after downloading his data from the site. However I would still like to to sign him in my saved career that was started with the attached game version and continue with that, otherwise I will lose all my progress

I've attached the data editor I was using for my saved game without Lewis Holtby present. Other free agents were available when I started that career (for example Ben Marshall) but just no Holtby.

There is no 19.3.6 public version
Are you on the beta testing scheme if so that is the issue

He is in game on my version with latest live update

Yeah very strange my version is 19.3.0 Update - that I installed on September 5th and started a new game with it. I'm 33 games into the season with all of the 2019 summer transfers done so my game is up-to-date just Lewis Holtby doesn't exist on it. I presume in this version he was never added to "free agents" and was just deleted from the database.

If I start a new game after downloading the latest update you have, my start game is essentially the same but Lewis Holtby is now there under "free agents", so it looks like I'm going to have to start a new game if I want him in my Blackburn squad.

My plan was to edit him over to my squad in game from free agents after we signed him but now I can't. Never mind!

I can only think he either was deleted from the database in the update I added on September 5th before I started the new career or maybe he joined a club that I do not have added as a league (if that can happen) . Although I'd imagine if that was the case I'd still be able to search for him somewhere in-game.

what you need to do is open the live update file in editor and see what his status is

I have checked our live update and he has never been edited as retired(which may cause him not to be in DB)

the only edits made here are setting him as a free agent and then his current transfer thats it

the issue could be any other third party files(but from your screenshot there is none)or a small DB loaded on game start up but dont think would be the issue

edit- I see the game now is 19.3.6 I wasnt aware there had been an update nothing on SI site apart from loads of FM20 threads
