TARRANT'S 4-2-3-1 GEGENPRESS

Possibly the first tactic I've uploaded since 2007 on here, not that I'm saying in 13 years I've not been created gems here and there. This tactic started as a 4-3-3 Gegenpress, similar to that of Klopp's with Liverpool but having started a new save the other day and not really fancying having a DM I decided to move forward with a CAM, something I rarely do!

Anyway, the tactic is simple. It's a high tempo, direct tactic with few instructions. The aim is to win the ball and get it in the net as quick as possible. If you want your side playing like Barcelona or the Arsenal of the early millennium then steer away from using this.

I'd only say to follow the below:

1. Don't worry about the player roles. Just change them to suit the player's strongest role in the position you've given them.

2. I do not use opposition instructions.

It has worked a dream so far and hopefully you'll have some luck with it too.
