So, I unchecked 'Use Skin Cache' and 'Always Reload Skin on Confirm' in preferences, started new game, clicked 'change' on the little pop-up window that comes up after and I saw the Editor window and it showed all the number of changes and I ticked it and pressed confirm but when I was in the game I saw no changes to the squad (Arsenal, RVP was still there)

Are you using the 12.2 database when you start a new game?

The install instructions were not quite right (for me anyway). After creating the Editor Data folder, i dropped the update in there and it would not show up so i tried opening the Editor Data folder and put the update in the subfolder 'db'. Bobs your uncle...it worked.

My Documents > Sports Interactive > Football Manager > Editor Data folder> db

I have that problem too, and i tried creating a 'db' subfolder in Editor Data folder. No changes. I'm using 12.0 database.

Then it won't work. As myself and other members of the team have constantly said, and as instructed on our website, it needs the 12.2 database so you need the latest patch.

Do you mean other patches? You need the latest patch to be able to play Football Manager so the update is only for the latest patch.
