Squares instead of letters. Help

I recently started a new career on FM18. Suddenly after a pre season match some letters were replaced by squares. The letters missing change everytime i change screens. Is there a solution?

This is the first time this has happened to me on any FM save. I have always used the same editor files in every save, although I did edit one of the files recently (Santos Laguna, I modified some player abilities and club info like stadium name, favourite personnel and hashtag). Could those changes be conflicting with something else? If so, how could I find out where the conflict is?

config and last_saved_rules are also recently modified but I don't remember messing with those

Your FMF files may have conflicting information, example could be in 1 a clubs stadium capacity could 1,000 but in the other it is 1,001, something as small as that can cause the game to not be able to decide what information to use. I would remove those FMF files and start a new game see if that solves it, or even delete the full game and install again.

Clearing cache and reloading skin seems to have done the trick, at least momentarily.
