Does potential ability increase

Hey I was wondering if potential ability increases in young players if as they develop the same way that older players potential decreases?

Nope, potential ability is static. Only current ability changes.

The only confusion with this is the star ratings often change. For example in league 1 you may have a player with 5* potential, this is relevant to your club. This 5* could mean he will be a great player for the Championship in the future. That same player in a Manchester United squad may only show 2* potential as Championship standard isn't good enough for them!
