In game, as in real life, the FIFA Club World Cup is expanding and being played every 4 years. I don't like it. I prefer the annual version. Last year I produced the 7 team version that has been in place, off and on, for the last 2 decades. I struggled to replicate that in this year's iteration. That 7th team (the host team), was playing havoc with the semi final draws, and also when the host team was a major nation, the team entering was a top team which made a mockery of the tournament, as they would frequently go on to win it.
So I decided to do away with the host nation entering a team. This leaves a 6 team tournament. The 6 continental winners. Europe and South America enter at the semi final stage and do not face each other, as in real life. The first season plays in late January due to the World Cup (I tried hard to make it February but the editor didn't play ball with me). This causes a fixture headache for Real Madrid as they're in the midst of Copa del Rey matches. After that, the competition is played every mid December.
I've updated the file on 11th Feb 2023 - The final venue now shows correctly in the History tab.
Known Issues:
- The editor ignores my Host nation selections, therefore the hosts are random. This means you will get big nations hosting as well as small.
- The squad selection rules do not work. These seem to be hard coded.
- On occasion the whole tournament is played in 1 stadium. I noticed this with Windsor Park, N Ireland in one test save. This must be because there aren't many great stadia to use (sorry Northern Ireland! )

Hi!!! I have a problem, I tried to install it and using it with other data files and mods installed, and when I tried to made a new game with the Fifa Club World Cup installed, the game detected only that datafile but no the others that installed previously. Do you know how to fix it?

@pipa23 Not sure about that one. I tested the file several ways to make sure it was working for me. I tested it the following ways:
The file worked every time with many combinations of the above. I assume you have the file in the editor data file, and it is not clashing with any other Club World Cup files?
Why don't you post a screenshot of your editor data file? It may help with a different pair of eyes just seeing that.

I don't see why the file wouldn't work. You could try just the club world cup on it's own and see if it works. Then add files one by one to see which one is causing a problem. Let me know how you get on.

Hi,
I did a 32 team version of this which is in the downloads. It is a nightmare to edit with it's original ID number. You have to duplicate it to make changes that will work. Even then the stadiums and host nations are sketchy. You could do what I did and fix the stadiums and host nation for every tournament. Maybe a host nation for the final and fixed stadiums from around the world for round matches. If you need any help give me a shout

Thanks @DrewJS66 . Even in on FM22 I couldn't get the hosts to work properly. It was suggested to change it to Fixed rules instead of flexible, but that just stopped the tournament appearing in game. Whilst putting together this year's effort I did consider setting the stadiums and host for every tournament, as I manually set the 2022/23 tournament in Morocco. However with it being annual that would have been quite an ordeal. And when would you stop? You could keep going for 50 years I suppose, highly unlikely anyone plays the game for that many seasons! I'll give it some thought.
