In order to maximise Bruno Fernandes' potential as a real "10," Erik Ten Hag has been fairly rigorous in using a 4-2-3-1 formation. Although Ten Hag has structured his team around the Portuguese prodigy, some games may call for adjustments against specific opposition. Ten Hag is now reaping the benefits. Nonetheless, it would be absurd to describe it as a one-man show, and Fernandes would concur with that statement.

Positively, Ten Hag has improved almost every single player in the starting eleven from the previous season, which is good news for United. Diogo Dalot's deft, attacking zeal has quickly increased; Scott McTominay is revitalised under the weight of Casemiro hanging over him; and players like Marcus Rashford are performing at their peak.

Tyrell Malacia, Antony, and Lisandro Martinez all contributed significantly to the team's success to open the season, demonstrating how successfully the new additions were immediately incorporated.

Bruno Fernandes hovers low and tries to gain possession of the ball in any gaps he can find as Manchester United builds out from the back in what typically takes the shape of a 2-5-3. This typically takes the form of passing the ball to half-spaces in wide areas and forcing a full-back up the pitch in the process. As the left-back pushes up the field, Christian Eriksen will also drift to the left of the center-backs to gain possession.

Today we tested with 3 teams ETH has managed, and the results where fantastic!

If you have a moment, please do check out the below video as I go a lot more into detail about how we made this tactic. I also cover multiple tweaks you could make if you need a goal/need to shut up shop. It is highly appreciated and supports me massively.
