I found on the internet db for fm 19, for the season 87-88. It was done by ethan76 from Sports Interactive Community. He gave me permission to rework it for FM 23, and with the help of Wolf_pd, whose files I reworked, I came up with this result. I know the db isn't perfect, but I wanted to let people who are a little nostalgic play something new until the release of the new FM... There are certainly mistakes, which are not intentional, and I hope you will point them out to me.
I had a desire to make a regen file as well, but I just didn't have time... Also, I didn't make graphics for this plugin, because I don't have enough knowledge for that. If someone has the will and desire to do it, I have nothing against it…
Installation instructions:
1. Move the downloaded files to your "editor data" folder:
Documents/Sports Interactive/Football Manager 2023/editor data
2. Open Football Manager 2023 > Start a new career > Select all files you downloaded, and select 23.4.0 database.
3. Click on the "Advanced Setup" button to select the leagues to play.
For the new one, FM24, I plan to do a db for the 2004-05 season, and everything I do will be on my pages:

Yes, East Germany is playable, with real players, but there is one problem… The future regens are West Germans, and I haven't found a solution for that.
No, places in the euro cups are fixed…

It all depends on how you proceeded to recreate the vanished nations. I use current nations that I transform (example: Slovakia in GDR and Czech Republic in Thecroslovakia). In this case the regens are from the right country since you just transformed the display.
On the other hand, if you have made the disappeared nations playable by using manager resources then first I say bravo and then, I do not know what the regens give either.

I am a fan of the GDR and on FM18 I recreated the championship (starting from Slovakia) up to the Besirksliga.2, the fourth division!

Glad to hear that... For the FM24 I plan to do the 2004-05 db, and then go back to the 87-88, and adjust it for the FM24...

I succed to make future regens as est-german: you've just to declare the 6 DDR regions as east-german and verify that ALL cities in these regions are from east germany too (there were a few errors in your database.
I take time to complete all divisions( untill the 4th level I think) and I will send you the file

As long as it's playable that would be terrific! I assume data editor could be used? So i could add more players to Scottish teams. Plus I'd happily share cut out's I've done and have lots for 87/88 season.
