[FM24] FIFA Intercontinental Cup (Dec. 2024 FIFA tournament)

How would we go about installing the great tournament?

Not working. When i search for FIFA Intercontinental Cup in my career.. nothing!

Just checked and it's working fine. Charles, are you running the latest update? If you check under “world” do you see the tournament in the list of other default tournaments like the Italian Youth Invitational?

is it possible to have AFC World cup qualifers data with real Groups and real results and that the upcomming games is same as in real life?

Iv tried with editor its not easy and also with FRMTE and i can’t do it so hard i feel

@themodelcitizen hello, do you by any chance still have a backup of the previous version, which was reviving the old intercontinental cup (still with 6/7/8 teams though), and not making a new version of the competition?

Make sure it goes to your equivalent folder to here:

D:\Documents\Sports Interactive\Football Manager 2024\editor data

And when you start a new game, click on the top right to make sure the box is checked to enable the database

Idk why but this only works in 2024 for me, in the following years the final never occurs for some reason

I managed to install a previous version from October and it seems to work, idk what was done in the last released version but at least for me it was not working

Oh damn I changed it so the draw would show before the teams were known but didn't test far enough ahead clearly, thanks for letting me know. Will revert to an older one while I figure out what happened

By the looks of it each different stage is it's own trophy as well - idk how hard that would be to create so it's in the records section of each stage. 

Each stage has its own records? I did set it up as different stages so that you can “win” the Challenger Cup etc (looks like they are unique trophies in real life) but it's at the expense of the bracket and all the other benefits from keeping it as one stage 

yeah it's a weird one - each stage has it's own logo and trophy and colours. typical FIFA making things easy lol

Looks like they've also merged everything to keep the annual winners as world champs:

Hmm yeah maybe I could use a similar mechanism to have it add an entry for the Club World Cup history despite that remaining active as a separate tournament. Even though this would mean you'd have like two winners in 2025

Thinking on @Anben10's comments a bit further, do people actually prefer the separate “cups” (Derby of the Americas, Intercontinental Cup etc) as separate competitions? It would be a bit hectic with them all being set up/drawn in quick succession but should work, even if the European champion will suddenly be notified that they're participating in the Intercontinental Cup “final”, like, 3 days before it happens. That would allow the different competition colours too. I like the current setup where I have them all under the Int. Cup banner but with the stages handing out trophies like IRL, but open to feedback

I haven't really dabbled in testing or creating this and you'll know way more than me but what about using this to keep everything within the same comp: 

My understanding here is that everything will be under the int cup banner but different bits (Derby of Americas etc) get added into it and that then makes it so you can have the trophy in your cabinet etc? 

Again you'll probably know more than me on this? 

I think I've got the trophies added with “stage actions” now, but yeah I think I did have it like that with the competitions specified too at one point, can't remember why I changed it. Will do some more testing this weekend

It's the same file, just updated. But yeah only run one of my Intercontinental Cup files. I'm adjusting it now too since they announced the actual Qatari stadiums and kickoff times, will re-upload over it again in a few mins

Yeah, isn't it still the same file name? The latest one is the only one you need for Intercontinental Cup, running both might just confuse the game
