Help me choose new CPU for my next PC

Hello, i'm looking to build a new PC and i'm wondering, based on FM, what cpu i should get. Consider i use my pc only for gaming, but i want to make a more focused FM build.

I was considering 7800x3d, and 9800x3d and 9950x3d when they will come.

Now i know we don't know anything about 9000x3d cpus and fm25, but generally speaking what is most important in a cpu? Clock frequency or cores? I think i need the answer to this question to decide which cpu i should get after 9000 cpus will release.
