Red Bull is coming to Italy? According to several rumors, they might be interested in Genoa!
The Current Situation at Genoa:
The current owners of Genoa, 777 Partners, are facing severe financial difficulties stemming from various factors, including issues beyond football, to the point where their control is no longer sustainable. Genoa Cricket and Football Club, the oldest football club in Italy, founded in 1893, is now at the center of a potential ownership change. Among the interested parties is Red Bull, which has long sought to expand into the Italian football scene.
In this database scenario, the club is acquired by Red Bull, which also establishes a satellite club in Serie C. The sporting director for this venture is none other than Jürgen Klopp, who assumes the role of Red Bull’s new director of football. Alongside Klopp, the project welcomes Diego Milito, a club legend, as the new General Manager. Additionally, Kenneth King is appointed to lead the transition, with Andrea Ceraico serving as the head of Red Bull Italia, ensuring the group’s strategy is aligned with local and international ambitions.
After narrowly avoiding relegation last season under the leadership of 2006 World Cup winner Alberto Gilardino, the team was hit hard over the summer by the sale of key players to help reduce 777 Partners’ debts. This cost Gilardino his position, as he was replaced by another World Cup winner, Patrick Vieira (1998). However, Vieira’s coaching career so far has been underwhelming.

The video made by LucullusGames, italian FM streamer, accompanying the project outlines the database setup and simulates 10 seasons, exploring whether Red Bull Genoa can rediscover vitality and glory. The club has already won nine Serie A titles in its history, but the last championship triumph dates back nearly a century.
