Jermain Defoe was this morning announced as the manager of ambitious side St Joseph's who play in the Gibraltar Football League,he said to the waiting press that he is aware of the task at hand but is more than eager to show what he can do
Meet the Club: St Joseph's FC
The side play at the tiny Victoria Stadium with a capacity of just 2,226 and were founded in 1912,having not won any honours recently at all since back in 1996!!
The board are looking to win the league championship this season as well as working within the stated wage budget of £5,000 as it stands we have about £200 to spare,no pressure at all here eh!!

Now lets have a look at the squad shall we..
Its clear to see here that the key players in the squad are at the wrong end of there careers, but thus still able to compete at this level,we will be looking to most likely build the team around newly appointed captain Liam Walker, the vastly experienced midfielder capped 69 times for Gibraltar alongside the likes of Brazilian Lucas Gaucho up front who we hope can grab a few goals this season..
With little or no budget at all its a daunting task indeed trying to get players in the door, and we will have to shift some players out,as well as most likely looking at loan signings to baulk the squad out a little for the league campaign,as we have to be realistic to say we have next to no chance at all in european competition unfortunately.
Lets crack on shall we…
