How to fix the FM26 Pre Game Editor when using the Steam BETA track

This is not currently working with the 26.1.0 update. I've left the original text in a spoiler below, but we need to wait for SI to update the pre game editor.

IMPORTANT: This only applies to you if you are both using the BETA Track and trying to use the Pre Game Editor. If you're not then don't worry and ignore this.

For FM26 SI have made the interesting decision to ship with two copies of the games database, one for the Pre Game Editor and one for the Main Game.

If you are using the BETA Track you will get the main game updated, but not the Pre Game Editor.

This means the database you see when using the Pre Game Editor is not the same as the database the game uses when starting a new game.

The simplest fix is to not use the BETA Track and wait for it to be applied to the main branch.

The second simplest fix is just to copy and paste the database from the main game directory into the editor directory. Although this may cause headaches if the BETA track updates regularly or if you switch back to the non BETA version.

I suggest installing the Real Name Fix into the main game first before starting this.

I apologise if this isn't the correct place for this question but I'm totally lost! It takes me a while to actually play the game each year as I try to get it as real life as possible so I use pre-game editor and move players and staff on the dates they move in real life. (I know game does this with real world for players) Problem is now, eg I always go Celtic, so I fix it that the staff leave on the date they left, but with new update, they're gone, Martin O'Neill is manager yet with pre-game editor he's not in the game and my changes are ignored! Also it's rectified with the update the Rangers Chairman but again, he's ont in the pre-game editor! I've tried uninstalling but still the same issue.
