Custom squad views are one of the easiest ways to improve your experience in Football Manager 26. They allow you to see the exact information you care about, laid out clearly and efficiently, without constantly switching panels or scrolling across the screen.

This article walks you through the full process of downloading and importing a custom squad view, step by step:

Download a Custom Squad View

  • You can head to our FM26 Downloads Views Section to download a custom view
  • In this example you can try my custom squad view just by clicking download here on the right ➡️

Place the File in the Correct Folder

Once the file has downloaded, it needs to be moved to Football Manager’s views directory:

  • Open your Downloads folder.
  • Cut or copy the downloaded squad view file.
  • Go to:
    • Windows: ‘\Users\YOUR_USERNAME\Documents\Sports Interactive\Football Manager 26\views’
    • Mac: '/Users/YOUR_USERNAME/Library/Application Support/Sports Interactive/Football Manager 26/views'
  • Paste the file into the views folder (If you do not already have a folder called views, simply create one and name it exactly views)

Import the Squad View In-Game

Now it’s time to load the view inside the game:

  • Launch Football Manager 2026.
  • Go to any Squad screen.
  • Right-click anywhere along the top bar.
  • Select Import View.
  • Choose the squad view file you placed in the views folder.
  • Load it.

The new squad view will instantly appear and populate with player data.

You just don't paste the nation logos from the logo megapack into graphics folder and it won't overwrite the original national flags.
