No, you’re not hallucinating. This mod adds a fictional league based on the world of the game “Genshin Impact,” the world of Teyvat. In this league, all the nations from the game are represented, along with all the playable characters—plus a few other key figures on the coaching staff. The connection between the game and soccer? Practically none, but where are the limits of creativity?

Regarding all changes to this customized database

The league, called the “Teyvat Vision League,” features seven teams from seven different nations: Mondstadt, Liyue, Inazuma, Sumeru, Fontaine, Natlan, and a combined team from Snezhnaya and Nod-Krai, because the original game currently does not have enough characters from each separate nation or region to form a complete team, and since, according to the game’s lore, Nod-Krai is an autonomous region of Snezhnaya—meaning it is still part of it—I came up with this solution to form a team of 11 players. This situation should improve after Hoyoverse recently announced the official release date for the nation of Snezhnaya.

The league consists of 24 rounds, with each team playing the same opponent four times; in other words, we have four rounds to ensure a reasonable number of games for each team during the season. I used an extinct nation from the game as a basis, and due to limitations of the FM graphics engine, Teyvat—which is a continent in the original game—functions here as a single nation, and the nations in the game have become clubs. I placed the Teyvat Federation in Europe, but only so the league would be recognized, since I didn’t enable the clubs to participate in European leagues (I may change this in future versions). The Teyvat National Team is also not affiliated with FIFA to avoid massive confusion in the database between Genshin characters and real players, but this does not prevent friendly matches against real-world national teams or clubs.

The characters Aether and Lumine (Travelers), as well as Skirk, have been added as free agents on the market.

This mod includes a database with all the modifications, graphics—including national logos and player faces—based on the game’s official images, as well as other modifications such as the Teyvat flag and logo, stadium images, the League logo, and other images created by me.

How do I install the files in my Football Manager 2024?

When you download the compressed file (use WinRAR or 7-Zip if you don't have it), extract it and you'll see a folder called “Mod - Genshin.” Open it, and you'll see “editor data” and “graphics.” Copy the “editor data” and “graphics” folders to the following directory:

C:\Users\xxxxx\Documents\Sports Interactive\Football Manager 2024

The faces file is the only one without a defined .xml configuration, as I recommend that, after pasting the faces into their proper folder, you delete the original XML file and use the “fmXML” program to regenerate these files with the new faces added. When opening the program, use “Browser” to select your FM's face folder, then check the ‘Faces’ and “All filenames are IDs” options, click “GO!”, and your XML file will be generated.

“Teyvat League - Plug and Play.fmf” file -> Game ready to load; just download it, place it in the folder, load it, and play.
