You can get dongles for far less than £30. Not only that, but your not gonna take a laptop on the bus, without internet access surely? That'd be stupid, there's not much you can do on a laptop without the internet.

Is there not some sort of witchcraft you can do to the files on yor computer to make the game run offline? sort of like a no-cd crack.

Save games are stored online so it's more awkward than usual

Yeah. I played it first thing it came out last night to make sure it was in order and I just logged in now. No issues. I guess they sorted their life out by the time the last release happened.

Not out on Mac yet either, they just said Spring. Tbh its a good thing its only out on PC atm, atleast the problems will hopefully be ironed out

I was going to make a high tech city when I've finised my current one. This one is like a commercial, touristy seaside city. Seemed to make sense since all the wind patterns take smoke away from it and since there's going to be a massive arcology across the way, they'll need somewhere to go on holidays. Assuming that's how it works.

I do reeally want to get this game, I love Sim City and the always-online thing doesn't bother me because I'm always online, but I want to be able to play it without relying on EA's servers, especially if they're going to get shut down in two/three years or however long EA deem it viable.

I'm in the process of converting my oil city into a high-tech city. Turns out making processors is a lot more profitable than oil.
