2014 New start

New game, new club new idea. Starting with only youngsters, and hopefully build a good team with them.

Also trying out a new tactic. Playing 3 at the back, diamond in the midfield and 3 up front with two playing wide.

After a lucky start, winning in the extra time, it went downwards quick. With the last two matches of the month losing late in the game (88th and 92nd minute). We are 2nd from bottem after the first month. We need to look for rapid improvement.

Very nice layout. Simple and easy on the eye.

Basicly signing only players under the age of 20 (for the first team) and signing or recruiting atleast 11 new players for the under 18. And hopefully at some point my youth set-up will give me enough good players for my first team.

After the weak start I was hoping to get into better times. Basicly due to the fact that the team will get more familiar with the tactic and the fact that the youngster will improve rapidly because of the match experiance. And better results I got this month. Stringing up four wins (3 league wins) moved us up to the 10th spot. It also gave me the manager of the month award.

I didn't expect the run to continue, but the next month has been a free fall in the league, dropping down to 20th spot (in the relagation zone). But that was to be expected with playing only young players. We had a decent run in the FA cup, till we ran into Luton who crushed out of the cup. So we need to pick ourselfs up again and improve our form.

Next month brought us better preformances, nothing real great but good enough to lift us up a couple of spots. We holding 16th at this point. Hopefully we can improve still a bit more on our league position so we can stay away from a relagation battle.

For the squad your using 16th for the time being is fantastic, its obviously going to be a lengthy process this mate!

I am not expecting great deeds already, just hope I can streer my team clear of a relegation battle. I don't think a young squad like mine will cope well with the preasure.

December comes to a close. We remain steady in the league, currently holding 17th spot.

The new year has been rather good for me. We made a string of 4 wins before losing the last match of the month. But the run has brought us up to 13th spot, climbing clear of the relegation battle. But the cap is still small (8 points), so no time to lean back.

Is my job already in danger, despite doing rather well?

Febuari didn't bring in many good results, two unlucky draws and two deserved defeats. This resulted to a drop to 16th position but the cap with the relegation zone is still 7 points. Fortunatly the take-over talks are done and there won't be new management at this point.

After 6 matches without a win we managed to break the slump winning against the league leaders. After that victory we played more good matches. Ending up with two wins and two draws, which was rather disappointing as more points where there for the taking. But all in all a good month, seeing us well clear from the bottem at a save 16th sport.

Last matches of the season played, We got some good results in as the season closes, altho we could have easily gotten more points out of the last matches. Giving away a two goal lead on more then one occasion. But never the less, we ended at a respectable 16th spot. And with the tactics more familiar and the youngsters growing fast I have the hope I can compete for a play-off spot next season.

May brought nothing special as there where no matches to be played. But the board did recognize my good run with the team and decided to extend my contract with a year.

Season ends. Unfortunatly I couldn't renew the contract of my main striker Shelton Gooden, so I will lose him for next season. All other players I wanted to keep had, or extended there contract. I opted for a mid-table finish as goal for the new season.

Losing 28 goals is a bitter pill to swallow, but I hope someone else will step up to the plate. We had a good pre-season with the highlight for me losing 3-2 agains Preston in the extra time. I didn't sign any new players as I had a very big squad, 3 players left me for an other team and 4 players where released at the end of there contracts. I did replace all of my coaching staff, for what I believe are better coaches. No money was spent or recieved. Overal I think my squad is a bit better then last season (mainly due to an year more experiance), and I hope that when I run good I can content for a top-halve finish. Hopefully pushing for a play-off spot.

We started of great getting a big win on opening day. We ran into two losses after that, but one to a very late goal. The last game we scored enough to win eventho we leaked three goals. We are sitting nicely at 10th spot and are looking upwards as we already had two team who are above us in the standing.

Massive squad, hopefully this can be a grande season for you! Good luck pal!
