We use NFL.com, just stuck with the standard non PPR scoring system and a player draft as opposed to an auction.

Alright sounds good. Just like my other one. Is it active trade wise?

It wasn't last year - I don't know about the other guys but it was my first time playing FF, so I was getting the hang of everything else.

I think that the small number of people meant all our rosters were pretty stacked, plus a couple of guys lost interest over the course of the season which didn't help trades happen.

Ok, training camps have started and it's less than a week until the Hall of Fame game!

So I thought this would be a good time to return to the fantasy football discussion. The league needs to have an even number of people, I know Tommo's interested. Anyone else fancy a go?

Currently I've set the draft to the sunday evening before the regular season starts - but that can change depending on what's suitable for the majority of people. Also for anyone who aren't about at the eventual draft time there is an option to create your own personal rankings, or just allow the auto-drafter to follow the NFL.com rankings.

I've upped the number of teams to 8 and sent invites to Tommo and om4ever.

Also double checked and the current draft date/time will be after all pre-season games have finished. So fingers-crossed there won't be any injury surprises before the regular season starts.

Few of the guys off the site, Tom DIxon, allforone, not sure about the others. Plus a mate of mine in real life, who didn't have a league to join.

First pre-season game for us last night. Although you never really read to much into pre-season I did enjoy that Brady was finding the rookies with ease in the 1st quater and spread it round all of them which he dident used to do last few years. The run game looked to have improved but that could be just a dodgy eagles run D. Enjoying watching Dobson and Tompkins catch all things thrown at them though.

I watched the first quarter and Brady looked really impressive with the Rookie WRs. The commentary was saying the Eagles have barely had any full contact practice sessions so far, so it'll be interesting to see how the run game goes next week against a team that have had more practice at tackling etc.

I was impressed with Blount, made a good case for being one of the main backups to Ridley last night.

Yeah Blount looks like he could be a good 3rd down back. Ridley played well but could not finish as shown in the first play of the game then Blount came in and finished. Benifit of that is it allows Vereen to play more at WR as he has shown hes more then capable playing there last year and and last night.

Tebow showed why he should not play QB aswell. Bit worried though as when he runs with it hes a decent QB but hoping that dont mean hes anything higher then a 3rd string QB

I've registered on the league (was on vacation without Internet the last two weeks)

Regarding waiver status, is it possible, if a majority agree, to change from Inverse Order of Standings to Continual Rolling List (meaning that the last guy to have used the waiver wire gets the bottom rank, the second last the second bottom rank etc)

Anyway, looking forward to the draft and the season. I played for the first time last year, it was awesome and a great way to learn the game.

Yeah I think this is probably the better of the two

How you guys liking your rosters?

I was pretty happy with mine, although I didn't notice three of my starters are from Atlanta so there bye-week could be pretty terrible for me.

The projections seem to be pretty unrealistic for week 1. Judging by the 49ers kicker they're predicting them to score 54 points against Green Bay which seems a bit too high even given the playoff game last year!

I never really look at projections as find they are usually wrong. Same thing happened with me bye week wise Got 2 GB and 2 San Fran starters. My RB could be quite risky tbh. Morris could easily get 2nd season syndrome, took a risk on Eddie Lacy but got to go for Bama alumni.

I think Morris should have another good year barring Shanahanigans. You've gotta think they won't want RG3 running as much and he should get a lot of thse carries - although he might not reach last years numbers.

Apparently Lacy's looked a cut above the other RBs in Green Bay in preseason. I've not had a chance to watch them.

Yeah he should start with GB as he's there best one there its just seeing how he copes with the NFL. There was people in 2011 SEC season wanting Lacy to play over Trent so if he can get just under 1000 yards last year hopefully Lacy can top it

The NFL.com projections are made on Madden, so yeah, they're shite.

As for Lacy, he will get a ton of redzone opportunities and his challenger for the starting job is out of the season, so he could put up RB2 values if he stays healthy (which some people are doubting)

As for my team I missed the cut several times on WRs, first no way I was taking Dez with Richardson still on the board. So the elite tier (Dez, Green, Marshall, Thomas, Jones) was gone too. After that I was targeting Roddy White but couldn't pass up Rodgers in the fourth. Colston was the last valuable guy before the value flattened-out and got picked just in front of me, so I went with Gronk and then stacked up on reliable vets (Wayne, Smith, Garçon)

But overall pleased with my team. My RBs will rack-up at least 40pts every week, Rodgers will be good for another 20, Gronk will deliver when he returns and it should put the pressure away from my WR to produce.

It's a shame that only half the league could make it to the draft, but it should be a good contest for the title. I really like Pippadoc's team, who I see is already going with the 'Oakland sucks" Defense

Did anyone else do the get the team rated thing after draft? Just got email saying they predict league champ for me so I will come last then. I'm happy with my WR quad. The two Johnstone starting with Amendola to possibly go in flex depending on how lacy plays. Then TY Hilton should hopefully put up good numbers if Luck has another good season.

It was not til after the draft I realised I picked both Super Bowl QBs

Well if they are using their projections to determine the future champion, then yeah, it's going to be wrong

Didn't receive anything so far thought.

You had to select after draft if you wanted it done. It's not actually the website who do it it's other people using site so we could vote on other people's

Is it standard scoring with flex ?

Roddy White-Colston is impressive in 12 teams, not a fan of Austin and Rice thought.

Yeah standard scoring. Rice was a bit of a panic. Had 5 Wr sitting in queue I wanted all went before it got back to me but if he gets close to 800 yards and 7 TDs again I will be happy as a back up. Austin is going in Flex. From what I see he was not to bad and I am a fan of Bradford so, plus he is there kick return so hoping for a few of them.

Knile Davis in last round was a low risk gamble I feel. Jamal Charles injured in pre-season but will be back and he is 2nd string so if he goes down Davis will start. Took him over a back up QB but im only one without back up QB and there is still Bradford and Freeman to pick up in Kaepernicks bye week
