You can't play any media at all at the moment except for DVD's/BluRay, unless it's obtained from the Sony Martketplace yoke. Can't plug in a USB, can't stream over network, can't even put in a CD

I don't see that as an issue at all, at least not for. Any media I want to watch I just HDMI it from laptop to TV. I'm surprised you consider that a dealbreaker.

Nah it was fine, especially if you had a few friends playing it as well was always racing them and trying to beat their times. Online was great.

Seeing as I have my NAS drive set up in the house with about 4TB of stuff on it that works seamlessly with the 360, it kind of is. Especially since I've been watching stuff off the xbox every day for the past month

Shuhei Yoshida's already come out and said they focused on the gaming aspects of the console rather than the other stuff, and he's said they're looking patching those features in at some point. Will it really kill you to save the extra money for a Xbox and just use the 360 for abit until that point

I'm right there with you, tbf.
If they full on removed this feature I'd be very annoyed. I watch films and tv shows from my harddisk on my PS3 all the time, and it's not something I want to lose.

I assume they'll fix it, and if not, I'll be pissed, but I'd be kidding myself if I said I wasn't going to get one because of it.
I'm hanging on to my PS3 either way, so worst comes to worst... boom?

I see that the next PS+ games will include PS4 content which is pretty good. We able to play PS3 games on PS4 that are downloaded, or has that info not been released yet?

Won't be able to play PS3 games on the PS4 at all at launch but they're going to be launching Gaikai at some point which will have a load of old games
